Im guessing if there is some kind of broadcasting legalities or health & safety issues in process here, then the same will apply to us at the Technique if we try to screen it.

We were allowed to screen our game at Torquay recently so there must be slightly more to this than just broadcasting legalities.

Let’s be honest though…£25 a time for BT (if I don’t get a ticket) x 5000? 2500 other fans = good money so BT won’t want to miss out.

Or I’ll get a white sheet in the garden and an extension cable. £5 admission. £2 bottled beer. Burgers £3. Pizzas £7.

£7 for a pizza, are you flying it in from Naples?

I think CFC have a license/subscripstion with Sky/BT to show the games in the hospitality and in the concourses. That may differ from Grimsby, i'm not sure.

I also suspect that it might be different from showing the game in the hospitality rooms vs showing the game on the big screen on the pitch. I think the club will at very least open up the hospitality rooms to show the games in there. I may be wrong

Artisan pizza. Makes it more expensive.

Don't look at a Dominoes or Pizza Hut menu if you think £7 is alot for a pizza.

Good idea from my brother…. To the 575…don’t buy a programme or drink or food in the ground. Starve them of revenue.

But that was on a tv screen not a giant screen.

Sounds good. Get some chorizo on there and I'll give you a tenner.

That bit i wasnt sure about. As i mentioned before the news article advertising it on our site just said :-

"Book to watch the live screening of the Torquay United match on Saturday week at the Technique Stadium.

The bar will open at 11am with a sausage or bacon cob served at 11.30am. The match will then be shown on the screen.

The cost of attending is just £10."

That could read as being shown on the pitchside screen rather than TVs in the lounge.

It was sold out this morning. 100 tickets left now. At this rate we'll all be able to go by the time Sunday rolls around.

Sorry if I'm being a bit slow; just struggling to keep on top of developments ..... or lack of them.

Should I really be in some sort of queue at the ticket office? Or not? What, in the name of all that's holy, is going on? ‍♀️

That's worse than the old conspiracy theory about Town never wanting promotion or the manager has lost the dressing room statement ha ha :-)

'They don't want to go up because they wouldn't be able to afford being in the second division'.

Seems a long time ago that. Then again, it was!
