Just to point out, it wasn’t me saying you was.

I hate social media and how all the "look at mes" come out of the shadows and try and make a story and a name.

I doubt James Rowe is easy to work for. I see Gloucester are now 19th in National League North. And they are better off without him.... well some may beg to differ on that.

Arrogant is never a great trait but its a thin line between confidence and arrogance and if you are a winner, I suggest its easy to overstep.

Being a bully is unacceptable - but maybe after a few years of losers with losers mentality the staff have got used to lax ways and no one caring. Maybe what they call bullying is someone holding them to account to do their job.

And that ladies and gentlemen is why there is an INVESTIGATION before a HR meeting with the relevant people....

Agreed, even an abrasive or difficult style should not be confused with bullying.

But that would be Wednesday wouldn't it, surely they should have started the investigation then.

Are Maidenhead full time? They might also have determined to get the next match out of the way and then decide if they wished to raise it. To be honest, i don't think it is the Maidenhead item since as others have pointed out, initially it should be dealt with by the lino/ref.

What, you mean you can't change to a softly spoken Devonian whenever you wish?

I agree. I'm working on the assumption that is was aimed at someone on their bench/staff but would change things if it was aimed at a player. I don't think it was which was my angle, and definitely would hope it's not.

The rumours seem to be of a falling out with Grimes in particular. Weirdly I had a chat with him at Nuffield on Wednesday morning. The majority of the team were in there, most in the pool with a handful upstairs in the gym.

Two things that were said were from Grimes to me that Rowe had everyone in that morning, it was a shocking performance, individual errors cost us and he apologised once I'd mentioned I went to Maidenhead. We had a bit of a chat about form, getting back on track and I said to him that one performance/loss in the last 15 or so won't make or break us and that i'd seen much worse over the last 5 years so he didn't need to apologise. He seems a nice lad, didn't look like he'd been punched by Rowe like some seem to suggest and seemed upbeat about bouncing back on Saturday.

The next thing I did hear was Maguire asking Loach why he was getting changed, to which he responded "I've been summoned" - which I did take as he's in trouble based on his performance the night before, which you could argue given the goals we conceded might have been harsh, but also fair depending on your prerogative.

I do think the rumours of a big player bust up are probably not the reason for him leaving, I think it is maybe something bigger. Though I do think there's definitely something in how he treats certain people, particularly those out of favour or who dare to cross him in any way. Very much Rowe's way or the high way to an extent which some might really take too (given our results and the number of players who followed him suggests many do) but others might really not enjoy (see Grant Smith, Buchanan, Tom Whelan etc)

One thing is clear, it's potentially a season ruiner and one way or another it needs sorting fast as Feb is a massive month for us.

Being summoned most probably the natural way that things are done after a game. Management have to point out where everyone's short comings have contributed to a bad performance. I guess summoned is the group terminology for a regular de brief of the previous game.
God I hate this league.

It also suggests good man management from Rowe. Following day to allow him to review highlights, and 1:1 feedback given to the player.

I'll give you one clue. The whistler stopped posting when Foster left. Foster came to his first game since he left just the other week. Guess who posted a comment on the game.

He posted late last year about Asante and his injury
A new hope.

The whistler has been providing Asante updates all season, he’s never stopped posting, perhaps less frequent yes but he’s always been here.

Asante's agent?

If JR is gone we need a new manager- who may or may not want to work with Webb

IMHO a clean sweep would be the best option if Rowe was dismissed. New manager new assistant. Webbs management credentials fill me with dread.

You can’t walk past the dugouts at Maidenhead.
If you want to change ends you are redirected through a walkway which is nowhere near the dugouts, as you walk through it you can’t even see them.

Cheers I bow too your geographical knowledge and ask how close to our dugout do you feel the clip was taken, bearing in mind maidenhead were setting up a defensive wall and unusually nowt can be heard from their bench instructions wise.

Another bizarre thought. How long is it since we had changes in the physio dept.?

The audio from that clip is very clear. Whoever recorded had to be pretty close to Rowe. Like, on the bench close.

I'm really interested by this. Whilst I am almost certain the audio recording is nothing to do with why he has been suspended, it does seem like somebody was recording deliberately to try and catch him out... I think? Like you say, the audio is so clear.

People seem to be focusing on this video way more than they need too. As someone who likes to sit behind the dugouts at games when i can this kind of stuff is tame in comparison to some of the stuff that’s said.

Don’t personally mind it at all really, sounds like there’s been far worse going off than some video that’s clearly been filmed with the volume on the mic turned up to try and shame JR. The timing of the release after the clubs statement backs that up.

99 times out of 100 stuff like that goes recorded, it’s only an issue because someone’s gone out to stir the pot

If someone can post the video without having to sign up to Twitter I can have a go at pinning it down.
As I said in a previous post, I moved to the other side when we were two down so missed out on being a witness.
