If the Whistler is really in the know, why bother quoting something in New York? I’m much more concerned to learn the truth about events in Sheffield Road than those in a theatre on the other side of the pond.

I think he was using it as an example of how these things turn out.

More like an example of having to have something to say! Right. I’ve had my say!

Everyone is welcome to have their say for sure. We may never know the full ins and outs of this either way.

The Whistler is our ex-assistant manager. He knows Rowe better than most. Also he appears to have been unceremoniously dumped so he's experienced Rowe's ruthlessness first hand.

I really hope it comes out that he’s innocent of whatever all this is because so many people will have a fat egg on their face.

He’s being hung out to dry by so many. Called this, that and the other by loads on social media including an unhealthy amount of this fan base.

If it comes out that he’s a bully or whatever then good riddance but for now he’s still our manager and he’s innocent aside from a video of him swearing at Maidenhead and whilst it may not be pretty it happens at every football game up and down the country every single week in the heat of the moment due to the competitiveness of this sport we all love.

Really hope it’s cleared up asap so all the hearsay nonsense can just stop.

I agree with everything you've written.

At least you won't get any stick from JR now about the state of the pitch, maybe Webb will move training to Cylinders to help the pitch recover👍🤞👍

Nothing can be done about Sheff Utd reserves and ladies though

I understand that the allegations are not directly involved with football.
Someone on the forum has already mentioned bullying with the opposite sex.

Here is a snippet showing an example from the New York Times last week.
NEW YORK — The actor playing Harry Potter has been fired from the Broadway production of “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” following a complaint by a co-star about his conduct.
Producers said Sunday night that, after an independent investigation of the incident, they decided to terminate the contract of James Snyder. The exact nature of his conduct was not specified. Snyder did not immediately reply to a request for comment.

I cannot see anyway back for JR. His reputation is tarnished which ever way the outcome goes.

The Board need to support Webby and get someone in to help him get this club promoted.

The board have acted in the right way, you cannot brush allegations like this under the carpet. History has taught us that it comes back and bites you.

You"re quoting a case that have been assumed to be sexual harrasment.
I understand that this is cryptic but
Are these the allergations against JR

Hang on, Rochdale had a few issues to deal with regarding Keith Hill.

Remember a few years ago, Keith Hill offering to fight a Chesterfield fan in the car park after the game, because of some abuse he got from behind the dugout. After listening to the James Rowe video, Keith Hill was probably worse.

The one thing I honestly have faith in is the trust. They have done superbly well and I cannot imagine them doing this half baked or without clear evidence. If the staff code of conduct has been broken then that needs to be dealt with. It’s very sad for us as a side after everything we as supporters have experienced over the last few years but I honestly believe that the trust will make the correct decision. You can’t sack someone for being unpleasant however for other matters such as alleged bullying in the workplace then that would be different. I would hope that they have taken the time to speak to a number of employees to find out what has happened, when and why.

The only other thing I have is that the board must have been taken completely by surprise by this - if not why would they sanction the signing of a player on a 2.5 year deal to a manager who was being investigated? My gut reaction is that the video has hit them like a hammer blow and in all fairness they have acted swiftly and sensibly.

I don't think the video will be anything to do with it. Though it is odd that it even exists. Was he being recorded by someone deliberately to try and catch him coming out with something like this?

The sad thing is that the bloke has such potential and he was given a fantastic opportunity to put himself in the shop window and propel himself forward at a rate of knots.

We all assume one thing or another about what’s happened, personally I believe he has had a previous warning and this is the last straw. If that is the case he has no one to blame but himself, this could be a disaster for his career in football management, surely he’s not that arrogant that he believes this won’t affect his immediate future.

He has a partner and a young nipper, I can’t help but ask why he would knowingly put himself in this position.

If the accusation is “only” about bullying players, he will walk into another job. If it’s more serious then who knows.

It's not going to be about players.

I don’t think it is. Or the video unless a member of the public has complained and the police are involved.

The video is a distraction but I doubt it has any direct relevance to the matter. All we can hope for now this is public is that the players can train happily and successfully for the weekend and that if there's not to be a way back for him, that steps are being taken to secure the services of someone capable of getting the best out of them between now and May.

Got to agree.
The insinuations of it being player related are bizarre both JG and AW were involved Satuhrday JG was in the dugout 2nd half. As KevoBMMB rightly says the language on the video was pretty tame in comparison, look at the video posted by Frearsghost for evidence. It was nowt compared to some rants I've heard. I feel the video was some clown walking passed the dugout en-route for a H/T bovril (do they do bovril in maidenhead?)who hapoened to press JRs buttons with some cheap shot and got a response and it was caught by someone filming the free kick. The derisory shouting of 'more more' had all the hallmarks of some 'look at me" spectator.

Let's hope the trust can navigate through these troubled times and keep what will be an ever growing circle of vultures at bay. And more poignantly the players remember their Chelsea experience and recall how much the fans contributed.

Altercations between players and management are commonplace and rarely get reported as they're not news and have no impact beyond the moment.

Even if, as someone told me, that JR dropped the nut on JG (fanciful, certainly unless he used a crate to stand on) it wouldn't have stopped him picking him for future games.
