Apparently mistakes arent allowed in Mr Misnomer's world. He's probably never done anything bad.

I can say I havent, the only fight I have ever had was when people picked on me, but I do know that drink ca do strange things to nice people, especially when they are stressed. So I'll say once is unacceptable bit forgiveable, twice is more unacceptable and a lot less forgiveable. On all things generally.

You are behaving like you knew better when you didn't. And as for your moronic black & white view of the world, well, let's just say, I'm not a great lover of sanctimony.

No, I'm not. I didn't and don't know the guy, so I've never passed comment on him. Highlighting the futility of thinking you know someone, someone you've watched kick a ball around and read a couple of pro CFC articles by, isn't seeing the world in black and white, nor is it remotely sanctimonious.

Oh, Ian; ever the apologist.

Is an apologist someone who looks at the facts and thinks of all interpretations, rather than jumping in for the one I want it to be? If so, happy to be so....

I dont know him from adam, but I do know some really nice people who have struggled with alcohol problems which made them very different. The issue was controlling the alcohol and not the person per se....

But after saying you don't know him from Adam, you are guessing he has an alcohol problem, which suits your own narrative and contradicts what you've just written.

If this was Boris Johnson, some folk on here would be frothing at the mouth for him to do a custodial sentence.

No I am saying that alcohol brings out the worst in some people and they should steer clear.

To be fair, it does seem to be a challenge to get a custodial sentence these days, looking at some of the local reports. And despite my views I would have expected that to have got one when maybe alcohol counselling would be better...

Career criminals are pleading not guilty on solicitor's advice cos the trial backlog is so huge that Judges are reluctant to remand them in custody, citing human rights violation.

I've been told that some cases in Manchester involving very serious matters will take more than 3 years to get to court. Some genius is trying to solve the problem by giving Magistrates greater powers (groan).
I blame Failing Grayling.

The courts being closed for Covid didn’t help matters
