Do they get mardy at the England players for taking the knee? At the Hungarians for attacking British bobbies and jeering the knee taking or at Eastern European’s kicking off in our national stadium?

Southgate making a statement, likewise Solskear not starting Ronaldo the other day. Weak management.

This is what happens when a right wing, populist leader stokes up the masses.
Who said ‘football is the opium of the masses”

Another reason why Brexit was the right choice, let’s distance ourselves from some of those inherently racist Eastern European countries. I’m rather glad we have.

Grealish was poor and needs to prove himself at international level. He started him. He did nowt after numerous touches. Poor rather dim comparison.

Tbh I thought he was the only one running at them and we visibly created less when he went off.

I don’t think you know much about the history of Eastern European countries. You are the classic key board warrior that you claim to despise. I’ve have asked you in a separate thread to meet me. I’m happy to buy you lunch at the Technique. Why can’t we do that? Come on Man up ffs

Completely agree - he was the only England player continually running at and past opponents. His efforts came to nothing because his teammates weren't on his wavelength. I'm usually a supporter of Southgate, but subbing Grealish was a blunder of the highest order, especially as Sako did absolutely nothing, so the substitution weakened the team. It was a good test of England's quality, as Hungary played really well, and showed England don't really have enough quality in depth at the moment. I've no idea what prompted Southgate to remove the one player who was hurting the opposition, but we have to hope he's learned his lesson.

If that was England fans showing that level of aggression overseas, there’d be front doors getting taken off their hinges at 4am and 10 year banning orders handed out.
Wonder if the same fate will await those clearly throwing punches and aiming kicks at the Met tonight? 🤔somehow I doubt it.

Is it me, or what?
Grealish was playing mainly down our left and until he went off we did the square root of zero down our right. Sako was brought on instead of Grealish but was played on our right. Foden seemed to move over to our left and did about as much there as he had done on our right previously.
However, Grealish does tend to over elaborate which was shown up when he had a scoring opportunity in their penalty area which the commentators seemed to only describe by how many of their players ended up on their backsides rather than pointing out our hero failed to get a shot away.
Having said all that, the big questions for me was more about how did Mount remain on the pitch and why wasn't Danny Rowe picked ahead of Harry Kane?
