Sure he appeared positive and purposeful - in direct contrast to the collection of characters dispensing hype then evasion over previous days - but less than ten thousand tests turned to a quarter million in fewer than four weeks?

Especially given Gove's lack of reagents claims (yeah, I know...).

Then there were his 'medical professionals' figures are wrong' denials of this morning.

I wonder if this'll become the latest 'forty more hospitals/fifty thousand extra nurses/guided by science' style mantra repeated regardless of reality...

Can’t help thinking he’s set himself as a hostage to circumstances

Tanks rumbling in to the square as we speak

Hope he’s got it right though

Did anyone see the virus in Italy yesterday on sky Atlantic? What an eye opener that was.

I don’t think anyone really realised how serious this is at the start. I started with a “not as bad as flu” “thousands die of flu” at the start.....but as information came out, my view changed. TF made a terrific post early on quoting medical staff.

I’m not sure either that posting racist quotes from sacked advisors is contributing to any debate either. Maybe stuff about the enforced contraception needs it’s own thread? It’s certainly worthy of discussion, but perhaps this thread isn’t the best place for it.

I’ll heed that advice and stop posting about China wet markets etc too.

Appointed by Cummins, who allegedly said, "let old people die"...I reckon it's more than feasible he said it.

I love it when our resident right-wing apologist throws his dummy out of the pram and goes on a lefty blaming spree 🤣🤣 even when the plausibility is sky high, he still takes umbrage.

Forgive me for taking this thread off on a tangent away from it's political substance.

The Royal Hospital announced 15 people have passed away from Coronavirus, sadly more are expected. My heart goes out to families and friends. Be safe everyone.

Can't help thinking these stories are somehow linked.

https://www.msn.com/...ocid=spartanntp

https://www.msn.com/...ocid=spartanntp

Obviously the responsible thing to do would be to accept. To put party politics aside for the public good. To turn up at Number Ten with a completely constructive agenda. But then the responsible thing to do would've been inviting the Mayor of London to COBRA meetings from the start. Inviting opposition MP's to form a 'Covid coalition' from the start. Voting for rather than against public sector spending - infact in some cases vilifying British workers - from the start.

And of course the responsible thing to do would've been telling the truth from the start. Or at least enough times for belated invitations like this to be trusted...

There is a report in the Guardian that telecom engineers are being attacked and a 5G mast got burned down In Birmingham because locals believe that 5G spreads CovId-19

Sounds like something from the 15th-16th century

The latest trend on the street where i live appears to be creating pavement art with chalk drawings and patterns. Some pretty impressive drawings starting to appear. I don't want to draw anything and show ho w crap i am at drawing. Ive tasked my daughter to do something in front of our house as she is not bad at drawing.

Got my lad's girlfriend 'locked down' with us. She and he asked me about 'tick-tock' to which I replied 'Errr, around half-seven, I think...'. Turns out it's an hilarious social media site taken to by some bl00dy inventive folk during this crisis.

Check it out, pal...

I can't believe that there are really people stupid enough to burn down 5g masts because someone wrote on social media that 5g spreads the virus. I place these idiots alongside the cretins who refuse to immunise their children because of a discredited doctor, and what they read on face book.

Heard about this tick tick craze from my daughters.
I offered to do a routine for them but the offer for some reason was quickly declined
Looking forward to a time when we can meet for a pint

Why exactly do I have to explain again anything to the likes of you? Your fading memory is no concern of mine

Can you also tell us how you allowed such as principled person as yourself to work for a company that made military aircraft which are designed for killing people of all nationalities.

Wasn't it BAE or am I wrong fish

Very much off topic but can’t speak highly enough of those at Christie’s and Western Park. Went over and above for a very good friend of mine who was battling cancer for a couple of years.

Only reason I know of Christie’s is the last few times I’ve donated platelets that’s where it has ended up

The U.S used emergency powers to stop 200,000 face masks bound for Germany leaving the country. Tango man saying “3M have acted badly”
A new hope.
