Sure he appeared positive and purposeful - in direct contrast to the collection of characters dispensing hype then evasion over previous days - but less than ten thousand tests turned to a quarter million in fewer than four weeks?
Especially given Gove's lack of reagents claims (yeah, I know...).
Then there were his 'medical professionals' figures are wrong' denials of this morning.
I wonder if this'll become the latest 'forty more hospitals/fifty thousand extra nurses/guided by science' style mantra repeated regardless of reality...
Can’t help thinking he’s set himself as a hostage to circumstances
Tanks rumbling in to the square as we speak
Hope he’s got it right though

Did anyone see the virus in Italy yesterday on sky Atlantic? What an eye opener that was.
I don’t think anyone really realised how serious this is at the start. I started with a “not as bad as flu” “thousands die of flu” at the start.....but as information came out, my view changed. TF made a terrific post early on quoting medical staff.
I’m not sure either that posting racist quotes from sacked advisors is contributing to any debate either. Maybe stuff about the enforced contraception needs it’s own thread? It’s certainly worthy of discussion, but perhaps this thread isn’t the best place for it.
I’ll heed that advice and stop posting about China wet markets etc too.
Appointed by Cummins, who allegedly said, "let old people die"...I reckon it's more than feasible he said it.
I love it when our resident right-wing apologist throws his dummy out of the pram and goes on a lefty blaming spree 🤣🤣 even when the plausibility is sky high, he still takes umbrage.

The Royal Hospital announced 15 people have passed away from Coronavirus, sadly more are expected. My heart goes out to families and friends. Be safe everyone.

Obviously the responsible thing to do would be to accept. To put party politics aside for the public good. To turn up at Number Ten with a completely constructive agenda. But then the responsible thing to do would've been inviting the Mayor of London to COBRA meetings from the start. Inviting opposition MP's to form a 'Covid coalition' from the start. Voting for rather than against public sector spending - infact in some cases vilifying British workers - from the start.
And of course the responsible thing to do would've been telling the truth from the start. Or at least enough times for belated invitations like this to be trusted...

Got my lad's girlfriend 'locked down' with us. She and he asked me about 'tick-tock' to which I replied 'Errr, around half-seven, I think...'. Turns out it's an hilarious social media site taken to by some bl00dy inventive folk during this crisis.
Check it out, pal...

Heard about this tick tick craze from my daughters.
I offered to do a routine for them but the offer for some reason was quickly declined
Looking forward to a time when we can meet for a pint
