Not a chance with still over 300 hospital deaths per day in England and more in care homes June at the very earliest. I'd even say August.

See there's talk of making the covid 19 vaccination when available compulsory in children. Don't talk about it just do it and add MMR too and take the choice off stupid ignorant parents

Traffic jams in London today!
I did my first team sessions today (in small teams of 4 players at a time).

Merc- the Monday’s figures yep are usually lower but massive reductions thankfully when compared to last few Monday’s and lowest figure since March

Yes it is encouragingly low for a change.

You would hope the anti vaxxers would be on full scale retreat but don’t count on it, they’d rather have killer diseases like Measles and Rubella roaming the planet

There're strong links between the anti-vaxxers and the alt-right.

It's all about controlling the truth; get folk questioning some facts and it's easier to get 'em questioning others. Get 'em questioning others and before long they're believing just about owt. All kinda fits in with their religious zealotry, too (be interesting to hear how they reconcile all life being created by their god with Trump's 'Covid's from a Chinese lab', mind. Musta been tough doing social distancing on that ark...).

Chuck in Fox News and suddenly you've got kids dying of easily preventable diseases, a president who lies as easily as he draws breath, churchgoers insisting they're somehow immune and heavily armed morons protesting that a pandemic killing hundreds of thousands is a hoax.

You'd like to think the current crisis would have these cranks rendered as silent as those demanding public service cuts to fund tax cuts. Give it a few months though...

EDIT: could've gone harder but fair play to Hancock: https://www.msn.com/...ocid=spartanntp

Rate funny that the Government claims herd immunity was never its aim when Sir Patrick Vallence was speaking about how they want herd immunity at the start of all this at their daily presser. The truth isn’t a thing any more is it.

Well here's a truth that sadly is a thing: https://uk.news.yaho...-091629243.html

But we'll still see folk dismissing it 'cos a couple of other countries add theirs' up differently. We'll still see folk dismissing it 'cos they'd rather talk about China. We'll still see folk dismissing it 'cos someone compiling the numbers might've voted Labour. We'll still see folk dismissing it 'cos it's not as bad as it could've been. And we'll still see folk dismissing it 'cos we shouldn't be politicising Covid.

Though perhaps they'll now tell us when we SHOULD hold to account the government that had time to prepare and so often assured us they had...

I distinctly remember it being their aim; think it was the very first press conference.

He was talking about that on LBC last week. I’d guess that he’d use his “cover” as a*ahem* broadcast journalist to justify his travel.

Not in Westminster/Downing Street.

When was the last time you saw an MP/politician give a straight answer to the actual question they were asked?

To compare death tolls across Europe at this stage is pointless. There are so many ways of reporting deaths being used across Europe currently that these are are almost certainly not true figures, not from any country. That's with also without taking into account demographic data, things like age, obesity etc which will have had a large influence on the numbers. Not until this is over will the true picture be available, when we can see what the excess deaths are above the norm.

By any measure we are currently one of the worst in Europe. I have no doubt when the tally is made for this first phase, we’ll still be one of the worst.

Just watched a report about Greece defying its reputation for chaos. Despite it’s elderly population and creaky health system the mortality rate is low and not one healthcare worker has lost their lives.

One reason given, an early determined lockdown

Look like Bozo’s ‘R’ number is 99 when the national average is 0.7

https://www.independ...s-a9499976.html

Meanwhile Hancock refuses to commit to an ongoing 100,000/day tests The testing regime looks like it has peaked at the same time as the infections.

Hasn’t he thought of counting the tests 4 times over, once when it has been posted, once when it has been used and once when it has been received at the testing facility and once when the result has been obtained.

Better disconnect my phone, or I’ll be getting a phone call from Dom Cummings offering me a position of the Heath Secretary’s advisor.
