The NHS wasn't overwhelmed because of the 1000s abandoned in care homes that needed the NHS but we're denied. By the way, some fit and healthy have died too. Every person has the right to see out their lives as normally as possible with every effort made to allow this to happen. I hope you don't lose one of your own. I wonder ìf you would show some feelings and compassion if you did.

Most care homes in this country are privately owned, charging up to £2000 per week per resident. Like private hospitals they are responsible for the welfare of their own residents.

I’m not sure that’s true, there was plenty of capacity and from the reports I’ve read many were so frail at the time of catching the virus, moving these elderly patients and sticking them on invasive ventilators wouldn’t be humane

The WHO have advised lots of things, some right and some absolute howlers, it can’t pass between humans for example

I genuinely think the public are taking it upon themselves to ease the the lockdown.

Even seems busier today looking out the window and from what I could gather out on my run at lunch (less than 60 minutes but was recorded on Strava sorry Quaker)

Very dangerous perhaps but I do think throughout this a good proportion of the public have proven themselves to be selfish, ignorant and thick.

122000 tests yesterday

Well done

I am one of those tested yesterday. This is because I am part of a control group for a project. I was officially tested as the kit was posted to me yesterday. It should have arrived today (but didn't). However i have been told not to use it until Monday as the weekend post means the results will be useless if is sent today or Saturday. The people running the project were told to make sure the kits were sent yesterday...

Denied. wanted to go in and were refused? can you give me the evidence of this?

I feel compassion for anyone who had it or sadly died from it. I dont though feel the need to use emotional language that possibly / probably doesnt reflect reality.

adherence definitely seems weaker this week than last. I blame B&Q opening up for random shopping and encouraging others to do the same....

I was talking to a former colleague in Abu Dhabi today they have to get a code from the authorities to leave the house, and if they go out and are stopped by authorities and dont have one, they will be in trouble.

We need to be harder on those taking the proverbial - analysis seems to suggest that worst offenders are young lads between 18 and 24 on a sunday afternoon....

What's wrong with that?

Don't understand.
Are you saying if you post it on Sat or Sun the sample will deteriorate and be useless?

You blame B&Q? Bit unfair! Why not blame every takeaway and coffee shop and newsagent as well.
Everyone in the park
Everyone working in an office?

You’re working aren’t you?

It was a bit tongue in cheek. They seemed to have a decent system where they were catering for the essential shopping with click and collect, but then decided in the nice weather there was cash to be had for gardening stuff, hot tubs, plants and ****... Seemed to inspire a few other businesses to open up as well...

Takeaway is food - and I think they are doing delivery only in most places.

People in the park - if they are walking through it then its OK as part of their daily exercise from their home...

People in offices - if they cant do their work from home and doing something essential its ok, if not, why are they there...

Yep, from my house. As are all of our management. The only people working who arent at home are those doing security and maintenance tasks at the properties, they are generally doing 4 on and 4 off and staying in the property to avoid travel. 2 doing days, 2 doing nights.

Stay Home. Save Lives. Its pretty easy to understand really....

Takeaways and off licences all open in my area.

Queues round the block tonight at a few!

It’s the hypocrisy that makes me laugh.

Spurs players get slated for training in pairs in a park way away from anyone else (papped of course). Yet tubes are open and people are allowed to walk dogs!

Why does Bozo and his bunch find it so impossible simply to be straight with folk.

To be fair there's been a significant increase in testing even if it's way behind what others were doing several weeks ago.

But instead of taking that win they still have to manipulate the numbers to include tests merely sent and not yet completed.

Some leopards just can't seem to change their spots...

Quite

Maybe our Health System is so good it keeps vulnerable people alive longer so this virus has more to go at

Maybe our doctors and nurses aren’t as good as the ones in counties that have done better

Maybe it’s down to the lockdown being a week or so late

Maybe it’s London operating as normal in the early stages

Maybe it’s PPE

Cheltenham and Liverpool v Madrid

Maybe places like London NYC Madrid would always be worse hit , density of population

Maybe the early infections in Germany were in the main young, fit people from Ski Trips

Maybe we are doing better in under 60s and worse in over 60s

Maybe

You must have missed it when he first mentioned the figure of 100,00. Hancock never stated that 100,000 was a target, he actually said 100,000 was a goal.

That’s semantics

Anyway what does a goal of 100,000 achieve. Do we just say the goal was reached and bin it and then set a strategy

Any idea why the testing station at the stadium was once again quiet today, Pete?

Only ask given your connection to the Hub where it's based, but it was deserted monday dinner time and only had a security bloke there today tea time.

I’d like to hear why you think people shouldn’t be allowed out to walk in parks or take their dog out. Could be a good this

If it wasn’t for getting out the house for exercise for an hour a day I think I’d have gone insane by now. Being couped up 24/7 is not fun and not good for your health. I’ve just finished my 7th week of this and the furthest I’ve been is for my 10k runs.

I’m working full time from home, got a 37 week pregnant girlfriend, and a house move that was meant to go through on 19th March to allow us to move back closer to family and friends that’s still not happened so forgive me if I want take a walk through a local park for an hour on my lunch break from work.

Quite how you’re comparing the tubes being open to a local park I don’t know, unless you’re living in a bubble.

That’s the issue. We all should adhere to rules.

If I can’t see my family or friends or literally do anything apart from leave the house for a walk or a run why can’t everyone else do the same?

I’ve spoken to one human properly in 7 weeks yet some people think they can do what they want. I don’t care if it’s 1 or 1 million not adhering, it still matters and it should be 0.
