As for the Liverpool match, well it was against a Spanish team and their problems were more advanced than ours but they let their fans go, so they clearly also thought it was too early to lockdown? PPE - the volumes they are using are beyond comprehension, the supply chain to sort it required design and implementation in a world where everyone wanted the same things. Easy to say it should be provided, B****Y difficult to achieve. Next to no countries in the world have enough.
It’s ok though, I read a headline today, article was behind a firewall and I am too tight to pay, that said income tax went up to 80% after WW2 to pay the debt, and mightwe have to do the same now..... so it’s likely to get a lot worse before it gets better..
Well Mr White Line. The 80% you quote was actually for those earning £50k or above it was 27.5% for us mere mortals. These rates were lower than under Thatcher's first years in power. 83% and 33.5% respectively
