Unfortunately not. And I’m not off to Anstey either. If you’re going then hopefully enjoy.

Yes I’m there tomorrow (8.40 train from Knottingley) so the odd beer here and there throughout the day no doubt 😉whatever you’re up to BD, have a good one 🤝

I love how not agreeing is considered losing on this place. Could be you are both wrong, could be one of you listens to the science and the other some mad bloke on a forum, but you will both think you have won. In reality, nobody won once covid arrived, it was just managing the extent of the defeat..

Enjoy the Rioja, good choice. When sober for october is over I might have one.....

Message me Ian when you’re in town, I’ll help you out of sobriety in style 🍷👍🏻

I'm at the game on the 22nd with my brother (occasional fan) and my grandson (becoming a big fan now they live up there!). And sober for october ends that weekend as my bro has a significant birthday that weekend - but not whilst I am driving and in charge of grandson!

7?!! Barmy isn't it?

What's barmy is waking up coughing and feeling pretty crappy, doing a test and finding out you are are positive yet again. That's after three jabs of what must be one of the most ineffective and weakest vaccines ever. You would have thought it would offer some protection against the virus. It's a good job most other vaccines actually do the job they were designed to do.

Vaccinations do not stop you getting the diseases, they reduce the severity of the symptoms you have if you get ill.
I had all my MMR jabs as a kid, yet I still got measles. I was still ill, but I didn't die or have serious complications from it. The flu jab doesn't stop you getting flu, but it usually stops you getting seriously ill from the flu and needing hospital treatmemt.

The flu vaccine stops you getting the strains it was designed for. People catching measles after having jab is very small. Smallpox vaccine eradicated the disease. Plus you do not need boosters every few months. What I'm saying is this vaccine has made almost no effect on transmission even after having booster upon booster. In my humble opinion the very number of jabs being pushed on us will in time force the virus to mutate to a point where the vaccines become totally ineffective. I had COVID once prior to the vaccine and four times after having 3 jabs. I will not be having any more

Expert virologist Les updating us on his knowledge of viruses. I prefer the expert virologists I listen to. I am awaiting my 4th, happy to go ahead, isnt that good, we live in a place where we can choose.

4 times and still alive, maybe that means the vaccine works? We'll never know... well, you will, you have decided....

Look up the meaning of humble and opinion. Sure they don't mean expert. However in your weird world of stalking me they may do.

The annual flu vaccine is only around 50% efficient in the elderly in preventing flu

I do apologise, in all the absolute black and white stats you wrote I missed that it was ONLY an opinion. Silly me.

1 - the flu jab does NOT stop you getting the flu. It does reduce the severity of the illness if you do get it.
2 - the COVID vaccine is not every few months. It is probably going to end up an annual thing, along with the flu jab. Most people will have had their last one around a year ago (I had the 3rd 27/10/21 and then one last week).
3 - has the flu vaccine become ineffective? How many flu jabs have you had? I've probably had at least 15, can't say I've felt it's been ineffective.
4 - I don't know anyone else that has had COVID 5 times, not even staff that work at the royal.

I'm no medic, but my understanding is an inoculation triggers the body's immune system into producing anti-bodies against the 'full' infection.

It dun't necessarily stop you getting symptoms.

It dun't necessarily stop you transmitting a disease.

It dun"t necessarily mean you're immune for life.

However it usually mimimises the severity.

Gonna be honest and admit I've usually snubbed my Flu jab. Taken my chances thinking I'm pretty low risk. But gonna have it now. Along with a Covid booster.

FFS - those of us born in the sixties have widespread healthcare programmes against Polio, Measles, Rubella and the like to thank for the lives we live today.

Infact complacency and crank conspiracy theories are to blame for the return of what were once deemed marginalised bugs into modern society..

Have your heroic efforts with the boosters reduced the risk of your mam and kids getting Covid? What are their numbers?

I’m sure those of us who questioned the learning from home policy and other draconian policies during the lockdowns, saying they’d have disasterous long term effects for kids were landed fools.

Vaccines don't stop you catching COVID or transmitting it. This is now fact backed up direct from the vaccine manufacturers. Evidence shows that Omicron is not pleasant but in the vast majority is not lethal. So if you haven't any underlying health issues why would you need a vaccine? Do you believe in vaccinating children?

Imho, unless the child has underlying health issues they should have been nowhere near the vaccine. Have you changed your views on kids under 18 being jabbed?

Not believed in vaccinating children for ages now. I have never told anyone not to vaccinate thier children or have I ever tried to stop anyone from getting the jab. I only say why I'm not. Like I said before. If my wife had every jab she has been invited to she would have had 7 by now. That's 7 vaccines in less than 2 years. What's that about?
