OK, so I haven't been at all well for the past couple of weeks: well enough to be at work but ill enough to feel absolutely **** :-)

Got home from work last night and my calendar reminded me that we were away at AFC Fylde. But I felt rubbish so I immediately forgot .... until just now. Checked the results and — my, oh my — we've only gone and won. YAAAY

So, my question is: should I just f**k off and stop bothering — you know for the good of everyone else, like?

Thoughts welcomed :-)

Have a good day, all :-)

Thank you so much, HT. I'm definitely on the mend: can have a nice relaxing Saturday with no game this weekend.

I don't really think that I could actually stop caring: 41 years and counting now. Hope to make another 41 [smile].

How do I get an emoji on my posts? [blush]

Go see a Doc, look after yourself and get well soon.

Sometimes things such as CFC should take a back seat when it comes to wellbeing.

Thanks for all the lovely replies.

I work in a university and this is what we affectionately call the Freshers' Flu. It comes around every year at this time when our students return from far and wide with a plethora of viruses. Clearly it isn't actually flu (would have been confined to bed with that) but it has been particularly nasty this time: was a mere sniffle last year.

So, no need to trouble the NHS. I've hit the over-the-counter opiates in a major way — sends me away with the fairies which is probably why I forgot about the game [blush]. I'm loads better now.

Thanks again everyone for your lovely messages [smile]
