9 points off the play offs in the live table 😂😂😂

Mmmmmm so was Crossley talking rubbish or is it doable?

My ideal Christmas present would be being in a play-off position with a financial sound local consortium taking over in time for a new year return of the lost fans bringing peace to all members of bobs board and CFC fans beyond.

Of course he wasn't talking rubbish and it was possible, that was the basic maths of it,
But let's not think it was some masterstroke of "ok, we've led them all a merry dance, let's put the foot down"!

sounds to me as though the formation made life much simpler for our CH's.
Stop in the middle, mark your men, 'ed it, kick it. Don't venture wide, there's a teammate on your flank.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Not said it was a "masterstroke" but confidence is the main difference between winning and losing. There's a long way to go and despite how poor performances have been the gap is just 9 points so the converse argument could be that even those currently occupying seventh place aren't safe especially if they have a dip in form.

They seem to be in freefall and there for the taking but even so we'll take it most gratefully.

When I heard the line up it didnt inspire me with any confidence but great result tonight, let's hope its the turning point, Dents and Fondzarelli have got to be the starting 2 strikers for the next game, was Spyrou not 100% fit? Brave decision that Shezza played his lad and it sounds like he did ok. COYB

Spyrou is still building his match fitness, the big decision is how do we view the FAC.
God I hate this league.

Just something to take note of, i have been informed that the Chester managers ( formerly Salford ) are in attendance tonight, make of that what you will. Before you ask who the source is it is very reliable.

We'll have to give Shez another game after tonight 😁

A quick count up shows Fondop has scored 7 goals in just over 800 minutes on the pitch. Pretty decent stats.

Fondop was the difference in the second half the Fylde defence could not handle his skill and running across the line

One take out of the air and turn round the defender was sublime although the shot was straight at the keeper

Spyrou took a knock towards the end of the first half when trying to force a chance past their keeper so the substitution was probably forced on Sheridan but it will be interesting to see what happens next Tuesday at Wrexham

Overall a solid performance with Smith adding bite to the midfield and Wedgebury completing the 90 minutes and looking stronger at the end

The first goal was always going to be vital after a tight first half and for once we scored it with a fine shot from the edge of the box by Weston after a quick PASSING move

Fondop then scored two quick goals with a flick past the keeper and a bullet header from a CORNER and although it was disappointing to concede in the last minute overall a deserved victory
