and even more important, the demise of CFC needs bringing to the attention of Damian Collins. Perhaps Toby Perkins feels some kind of responsibility to help us.


A parliamentary inquiry has been launched into the Football Association and English Football League’s financial governance of clubs following the expulsion of Bury FC from the Football League.

Announcing a series of hearings that will be heard this autumn, Damian Collins, the chair of the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee, also backed calls to give Bury the chance to resume in League Two from next season.

Select committees have the formal power to call for relevant “papers and records”, as well as key witnesses, such as the decision-makers from clubs, as well as the football authorities, and has parliamentary privilege, meaning evidence that has been accepted by the committee cannot be questioned in court.

Collins yesterday said the expulsion of Bury was “a tragedy” for fans and the wider community which “marks a failure of football governance”. He also said that the football authorities now need greater powers to intervene when clubs get into financial trouble. “The current owners and directors' test is clearly not sufficient to protect the long-term interests of clubs and keep bad owners and directors out of the game,” he said.

Azul.....I gave 2 or 3 last time for ground, but disgusting vermin infested away seats are the final embarrassment on a long charge sheet of this ownership.....its a 1 from me this time across the board.....had enough now....Allen needs to sell and fast

I tried I really tried to go up a bit for the stadium but after thinking about the lack of maintenance to broken seats and the shabby exterior it is now getting had to go 1
