Don't you grasp it...he's got no budget to speak of.
Do you think a manager with his record in the lower leagues would be Arsing about with the garbage on the pitch we saw today if he had cash on the hip. He's either on that good a wedge he'll try and make do or he's been sold a pup, or a mixture of both.

Amantchi should have at least been on the bench

I have no idea what all these 'development' players are on but I guess when you start adding them up they'll come to one or two first teamers
When I first heard about the development squad, I though, makes sense until you hear that they aren't even playing in an organised league with a pseudo competive edge, just adhoc games

I must admit when I heard sheridans pre-season interview suggesting they'd "try to arrange games when they can for the devel squad" I too thought, "WHAT?" if they aren't playing regular what's the purpose?

Better admitting you don't know rather than bull-shitting
One think I know they aren't 'playing' for free

Thought it was funny today, the Shezza/Gambling/DA triangle chat made an appearence again.
I always thought that was complete rubbish but it does go some way to explain why he would come back club without any serious backing

Thought we had more home fans than that looking around the ground, but there's one thing for sure if this tripe continues we'll be looking at far less and in a quick timespan.
1st half diabolical..2nd half better but caught with 2 sucker punches. If we don't bring one or two decent signings in, we are in the ****.

All I know Dave is they looked totally shell shocked with the way Dover came at them. There were players looking across at the bench for instructions without getting anything in return. 2nd to the ball for the whole of the 1st half. Not good enough. Dover worked hard and closed us down ,they had a couple of guys up front which were too much for Evans on his own because he didn’t get much support from our other centre back. If you are going to get out of this league you will only get away with 6 or 7 losses. 1 life gone!!

But, we know Sheridan is working with scraps budget-wise so how much of a blow is it to be without Hollis, Gerrard, Spyrou, Maguire?
His fully fit squad is lacking as it stands, particularly with width, but it surely must be tough losing four players that would most likely have started today.

Agree apart from Gerrard unless he's been on slimfast.

I think Hollis, Gerard and Spyrou would have started. Yarney would have been full back and Smith in midfield. We’ve also lost Denton who would have been on the bench. I doubt we would have conceded the goals we did had they played but our lack of width and creativity would still be evident. Presumably the players that were sick as opposed to being injured may be available Tuesday.
