Yes but not necessarily with the stadiums and infrastructure, Germany & Mexico have had it twice since, the latter having part of 2026 too

Probably include USA in that too as they’re co-hosting 2026 as well. Given they’re largely apathetic to ‘soccer’ this irks me a little
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

To be fair to the Mexicans, they stepped in at the last mo in 86 when Colombia, who were due to stage it, pulled out. And what a cracker that WC was...

Best I've seen, but also my first, which I think always makes a huge impression. The World Cup was pure heaven for years, which makes it all the more irking that FIFA sold it to slavers.
These go to eleven.

Wow what a surprise...the FIFA elite's fantastic idea to get two dodgy WC awards for the price of one shortly before riding off into the sunset had almost come off.

Can't see them taking it off the Qatar's though. Surely that will only make the lawyers rich.

It stinks...surely this thread would be better adding to the "Corrupt top to bottom" thread

I always said we should withdraw from FIFA and the FA should organize their own World Cup independent from FIFA and invite all the top national teams to join. Kind of like when the PDC split off from the BDO in darts.
