Embarrassing that performance.
If Delph is good enough for England. God help us.
Southgate wants sacking for starting with that midfield.
I think Kane is finished.

Tim, I'm glad your not a chairman of a football team. You would be changing manager every other week lol!!!!
I don't rate Stones or Delph nevermind them playing for England, agree not good enough.
As for Southgate, hes brought England a long way. I think it would of been different if it wasnt for the Champions League final in terms of selection and Kane isn't 100% match fit following his injury but I disagree , hes far from finished.
The final thought from me is you cannot legislate for individual mistakes like those 2 tonight and as we know following CFC it kills you.

delph has no business starting an international match in midfield. stones had a mare but is a decent player overall, probably the worst game ive ever seen from him though. his dallying on the ball for their second was cringeworthy. kane is 25 years old, that's a ridiculous thing to say, why say it?
midfield overrun, not technically good enough, we're crying out for a decent CM, foden needs to be developed as quickly as humanly possible

Have you watched the game or is this the equivalent of your Peak FM moan with the "I didn't go today" on top?
People make mistakes, so do players. What would be your solution - piano wire, pass it along please?
Southgate wants sacking. Really? Get in the sea.

The competition is only one step up from a friendly - a sort of international version of the JPT

Stones should be on suicide watch after that performance.
Delph isn’t good enough. We needed someone like the lad Maddison in the side. Grealish would improve that side too.

It’s a bit like starting with Weir, Nelson, and Rowley. Oh **** that’s our midfield for the nex season.🤔
As for Kane I don’t think he will be the same player following the 2 angle injuries.

We are all agreed on Delph.

Southgate says that lessons have been learned? What happened to the lessons we were supposed to have learned after the World cup semi final?
All that team last night with the exception of Pickford were shameful.
Thank God that the lionesses start this weekend cos they play with more heart than that bunch of losers.
Pathetic, the lot of them.

At least it means some folk get to trot out the stuff about fluking our way to a world cup semi final like thats really possible. Yes other teams lost so we didnt have to face them but we still had to beat a few teams that were in front of us.

You may think that but I really don't give a toss. Theyve just bottled two semi finals and the manager says that lessons have been learned. What lesson couldn't be learned from when we played in the biggest of semi finals only last year?

But.
The England footie team are like the England one day team - told to express themselves. It's an approach that's proved largely successful - the idea of us being in two major semi's in the space of a year would've been laughable until recently - and one I applaud.

Wijnaldum only played an hour so only Van Dijk for the dutch played the full game. In terms of England....Henderson, Alexander-Arnold, Kane and Rose all played 90mins whilst Ali played 80. Thats nearly half the team having played a full game only a few days previously and havent been around the squad. Suspect we didnt need to go with not starting any of them and could possibly have played at least one of the midfielders instead of Delph with a view to changing it later in the game.
