During this weeks media interviews Graham Bean mentioned he was meeting supporters later this week.

This was myself and Paul Goodwin who organised last week's successful peaceful protest
We met with Graham this morning, not as spokespersons for the fans, neither of us see ourselves as this, but more to introduce ourselves and assist him with his fact finding.
Bob's Board has provided an outlet for fans to express their views and as Ashley Carson's main point of contact for this message board he passed on my contact details to Graham.
This thread is testimony to the close scrutiny Graham's appointment has come under over the last week or so and it felt only right to meet up. I'm from the camp of not saying anything about an individual on here that I wouldn't be prepared to do face to face and can understand the discomfort someone starting a new job would feel coming under fire from anonymous sources before they had even started work.
I therefore explained to Graham why he'd come under such scrutiny given the nature of his and previous appointments at the club and this happened also with Micheal Dunford. Graham understood and went on to listen to the concerns that Paul and I presented to him.
I explained to Graham whilst we are all grateful for Dave Allen's financial contribution, we wish he would take steps to get the club better run so he didn't have to do this or find a suitable buyer.
The main concern about the rising and significant debt, is if Dave passed away his family who aren't fans would want the money, some of which is secured against the ground, back which could spell the end of the club. I also expressed concern that it appeared Dave wasn't really serious about selling the club, Graham explained whilst he's not met Dave Allen yet he was aware he is keen to sell and will be working hard to facilitate a sale.
Graham came across as straight talking, friendly and approachable and is keen to meet supporters who have concerns either on a one to one basis or in groups. He's keen to set up series of forums in the new year with around 10-12 different fans present each time to discuss things just as he did with Paul and myself today. He says he will be honest and won't make promises he can't keep. Anyone interested in putting their name down for this should email Graham at
[email protected]
He says AC has taken a back seat in terms of day to day decision making and he's sees himself as now running the club day to day reporting to the board and Dave Allen.
Graham has asked to be given a chance by the fans to make his mark, I was left with the impression he will be giving his all.
P.S Whilst a Wednesday fan in the past Graham has been a season ticket holder at Liverpool for the last 15 years
Mark, thanks for summarising our meeting with Graham Bean quickly and so accurately.
From my point of view all that I would add like to add is that Graham Bean said nothing during the meeting that he wouldn't do to any other fans attending the sessions that he is intending to run during the early part of next year. I agree that to do this in smaller groups will be helpful as everyone should have the chance for an input and hopefully no-one will feel uncomfortable about raising their concerns or issues with him.
I am not fully up to speed with all of the threads on here, and comments on Facebook, but I would just like to clarify that it was only my intention to hold one peaceful gathering and then to gauge the response. Obviously events developed quickly and over a matter of a few days the media interest grew beyond anything that could have been envisaged. The result was that a much wider range of people are now aware of our current plight and some details of how we have arrived at our current position. This, coupled with the tremendous turnout on the day in such poor weather conditions, has meant that there can be no doubt with anyone about the feelings of a large section of the fan base. Just to be clear, I have had no involvement in the possible organisation of any other protests.
If there is a real appetite for change from the owner of the club then I would rather spend my time supporting this in any way that I can rather than organising a further gathering of fans who are disillusioned with the running of the club. I realise that this may not be possible for me but, as long as there are clear indications that matters are progressing and that it can be evidenced, then my view is that this should be allowed to continue without hindrance.
However, if things continue as they are I really fear for the future of the club as the debts will be too large to make it a saleable asset and the situation from a fans' perspective would have to be reassessed.
I would like to thank everyone for their support and kind messages and wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
