Only one team wanted to win at the end, they stuck Reda Johnson upfront (who I thought was man of the match) and MA was desperately remonstrating for us to, yes you guessed it...hoof it over the top for Levi.
One positive today. Thought Hallam was decent, took his goal very well.

Muggleton had the best part game I've seen from him. It was his curling effort that hit the bar.

Eastleigh are no mugs, I saw enough to give me hope for a home win on Tuesday. We played good attacking stuff at Billericay, Shaw and Hallam were doing plenty of good movement up front and once again Lee looked very sharp, wish he could get the 1st goal he deserves. We are creating chances we must start taking them now.
Burton==6= good keeper but its a bit worrying he seems to be flapping at a lot of crosses and corners.
Barry- 6- steady return at least Smiffy could move back into midfield.
JBW - 6- aweful 1st half but played really well going forward in the 2nd.
Hollis 9-- LOZ 8- solid as a rock in the centre on a slippy pitch.
Rowley=8= never stopped working showed class a proper skipper's role in the last 2 games.
Smith- 7- gets better with each game.
Weston= 6- decent game but we need a bit more from him.
Denton=6- got no protection from the ref again, laid off some good balls going forward and defended well.
Hallam= 7- took his goal well and looks a very promising signing, quick.
Shaw= 7- looks dangerous running at defenders just needs that elusive 1st goal.
Fans-8- 273 turned up in noisy numbers, were there any home fans?
The unbeaten winless run continues in the league and I honestly feel that a win is not far away and the performances are definetly on the up. We must keep behind Mad dog and the Team, we will soon be rising up the table,

I wish I could share your optimism dave, but for all our pressure and dominance in the 15-20 min spell at the start of the 2nd half we created nothing, the keeper had to claim or punch a cross or 2, but as far as saves.... Nothing not 1, we are dreadful at creating chances

So neither shot was on target, as apose to the 3 or 4 good saves by Burton a goaline clearance and 1 for them off the post, we are garbage, no shape, no style no clue, we aren't improving, we only draw cos there is no quality in any team in this league, otherwise we would get tanked week on week.

Did you actually go as lindave did, because you're talking two different games? The radio commentary stressed that the 3 forwards were moving very well but let down by the midfield who were finding the right passes but couldn't quite get the pace right; and it sounded as if we were on top for large parts of the game. Might have been biassed but they usually tell it more or less like it is, and it bore no relation to what you saw.

Yes I was there, though I don't watch thru Rose tinted glasses, we came out 2nd half and did dominate for 15-20 mins, but never worked their keeper, that's my point, we create nothing, we are not a threat, the forrads can run about as much as they want but if they don't get good service they won't get chances, yet our keeper had to make good saves to keep us in it... To the point where he was our motm.

To enlighten you (post 156) i was referring to one of your earlier posts which, as the above post, also suggests you may have found somewhere in Eastleigh with decent ale. I gather you, like myself are here for the weekend, and I've only found one wothwhile boozer, and I was hoping you could offer an alternative.
In simpler terms you post(s) gave the impression of "beer talking"

No I hadn't, I as I posted earlier, don't watch thru spireite tinted glasses, please enlighten me on when we worked the keeper, cos other than a couple of routine punches or catches, for all our pressure at the start of the 2nd half especially, he didn't have owt to do. We are clueless, have no shape and no idea.
Maybe I should go and get a few beers 1st, it may have me leaving the ground believing that we had played well, and were Unlucky, it obviously works for you.

Is a shot that hits the post actually more accurate than one that hits the bar?
I'd never thought of it that way.

No neither are classed as on target, I was pointing out that they hit the post as a repost to the we hit the bar comments

Is it possible to accept that somebody has a different view. He thought we played well in patches, you didn't!

The midfield is dire, the wide players were poor and only really Rowley and Hallam in the front 5 came out with any form of credit. Maguire and the keeper are solid but at full back we give too much time and space away for teams to get balls into the box.
I got back to Leeds at half 11 last night, was a proper long day, not sure I’ve got it in me to travel again next Sunday for the FA Cup game, definitely won’t be bothering Tuesday. We’ll go down with Allen in charge, but I think we will go down regardless of who we appoint.
I guess we should get used to going to more soulless, quiet grounds with barely anybody in them like Eastleigh for next season..
