We should play the kids and get knocked out ASAP. Cue someone saying we could do that with the first team etc

I'll ask, rules state by 1st April, no mention of an exemption for relegated EFL clubs.

Incidentally we can't play in black

One advantage of this is there will be no bonus payments in players contracts for progression in this competition

So we go straight in to the last 8?

Isn’t the final at Wembley?

We’d only have to win 4 games to get to the final wouldn’t we?
Even we could (possibly) do that!

Would certainly be trying to - just to give the fans a day out if nothing else!

Sorry mistake we enter at first round proper

Yes final at Wembley shared with FA Vase that kicks off earlier

Interesting! Was this before 1st April as required by the rules and if so was the plan to get relegated?

TBH relegation has been a real possibility all season, more so in March, so entering the Trophey with the proviso we may be relegated, would be the right thing to do.

TBH you would expect the rules to grant automatic entry to relegated teams. Stupid if they don’t

Yes I agree, it just that the FAs own website clearly stated clubs from certain levels of the tier were automatically entered into the FACup whereas a deadline date and application is mentioned for the trophy.

I doubt it's optional to compete.
