States that nearly 30 applications. so far

Assuming a few will have a good track record with 'Football Manager' that doesn't seem too many.
Accentuate th Positive, eliminate the negative

That list will probably include, Mickey Mouse an Donald Duck lol, sadly, those 2 would have done a better job than some of our past managers.

I’d prefer a traffic cone in their to him making decisions

Without a shadow of doubt, he is the worst boardroom appoint in 152 years. I don’t think even Darren Brown comes close to the assay snake.

A new hope.

This is the best line, "All directors will be involved in the interview process so that they can provide their input ahead of a decision being made."

I didn't think we had a directors, so all it will be is Carson: "I've interviewed this person, what do you think Dave?"

I have no confidence in the board's ability to pick the right man. AC has proved he's a clown, and MW and JC aren't people who I would think can find the right person for the job.

The fact that AC has said all directors are involved in the process tells me that he's got a buffer if this appointment goes sideways (not my pick, honest. I wanted the other one).

I'd love to be a fly on the wall during the interviews. I bet AC and DA don't ask the right questions of anybody. How many second interviews of candidates will take place, or will they just have the Dean Saunders-type of chat before offering the job to some cretin who doesn't fit our needs?

Just for comparison, we interviewed prospective managers 3 times, each time with a different emphasis to weed out those who talk in football cliches, those who B.S., those without substance to any comment, in order to dig down and find the best person for the role. This wasn't a national team job, it was Hammarby U.19's that we were asked to help with.

My jobs were gruelling, week-long tests; really thorough; really invasive and testing just how much we know about and want the job. I hope there's some depth to what will either infuse the club and restore something that's been lost otherwise the next incumbent could actually be the final nail...

I'm really interested in this process and what happens after the deadline for applications.

Sadly Stockholm I fear the process of choosing a manager goes something like this " Eenie, Meanie, Miny, Mo "

Well if we have interviews that will be an improvement on certain past appointments

Only a desperate out of work manager would apply, if the “takeover “ actually happens shortly the successful applicant could be fired without taking charge of a game or even a training session. In order to avoid such a situation I imagine Ian Evatt must be nailed on for the job.

What's happened to the Director of Football? Carson went on record saying he speaks to him three times a week, if the takeover was going to happen he would be choosing the next Manager.

Not sure I\d apply with all this takeover talk unless I just wanted a quick payoff. Prospective managers may not realise its all a mirage

4 years ago this was a job a lot of managers would have wanted.....now its a poisoned chalice & probably one of a handful of clubs that 'decent' managers wouldn't touch with a barge pole!!

This job will either go to Nicky Law, who has a proven track record in non-league & league football....or a Manager we have never heard of before or have little knowledge of!

Good luck steering this rudderless ocean liner around, whoever you may be!

If it were me I'd get the shortlisted candidates to take a training session with the players. Get the players feedback. Then hear what they have to say during interview.
Does this happen?

Let's hope not. Most of this motley crew would just vote for the guy who gave them the easiest ride
