Was me for the -1 as I can't abide anyone using the term Uncle Dave! (I've not even read the rest of your post yet) PLEASE, PLEASE folks stop with this uncle stuff, as it's really cringe-worthy

I never minded the use of that term myself. It always made me think of "Uncle Joe" (i.e. Stalin) - the paternalistic megalomaniac, inveigling himself into every aspect of one's daily life, curating a personable aura and yet, fundamentally, being a crazy, genocidal monster. Don't know if he liked pigeons?

The '£200K for something about to be revealed' - would that relate to the CFCFDS, by any chance?

Don't be daft. Ashley has passed Go but then either bought Kings Cross or paid income tax.

Technically we don't owe anything for next season yet - I think you mean which part of the budget is already committed...

We could of course lump all of the costs that relate to problems this year into this years results from an accounts perspective and start with a clean slate results wise - although it won't stop the cash requirements being ongoing.

The £200k for something to be revealed is one of those designed to tease - you either know and can reveal or you can't so don't mention...

I think Cashley suggested no and then made a guess that those three and their backroom staff have cost use £900K so far,

I wonder what Cook would have done with an extra £900k 3 years ago

£50k on Daniel Johnson would have been enough to do the trick.
