Why do people loath you?

Because he's the only one asking where the money went. He was years ahead of anyone else and it's jealousy pure and simple.

So did the clubs and players receive the strong end of the fans anger and pain which they justly deserved or once again were they let off with a few Carson out chants and the odd curseword?

You see, the problem is, I go to watch my team win, or at least put on a competitive game. I don't go to see them get a football lesson every week from teams who can afford the ridiculous salaries that are paid in the Championship. And I know very well, as we all do, that we can't possibly afford those salaries on gates of 7000. OK, lots more away fans, but what home support to watch us lose very week? The diehards have done brilliantly this season, but the 7000 figure includes the non-committed, obviously, and they'd soon disappear.
When you're considering the donation of 4 million quid extra, (a low estimate) these are the factors you need to think about.
DA might have got it wrong. He might have financed such a succesful run that he'd have been ble to sell the club, but the downside is more vast sums out of pocket and no guarentee we wouldn't be exactly where we are now. If it had been my money I know which way I'd have jumped. As it was somebody elses, I wish he'd spent it.

Exactly who are you trying to impress with this sorta stuff?

Seriously, I'd like to know.

Yourself? Well it doesn't take a psychoanalyst to realise your entire agenda is the product of a monumental and unrelenting superiority complex.

Some constituency you're convinced agrees with you? A 'silent majority' who, like yourself, say absolutely nothing in public but cower behind a keyboard to peddle crass denial? Clearly they're so 'silent' as to be totally absent.

Or maybe you're expecting gratitude from the 'Honest Ashley' to whom you sneered we should 'cut some slack' as he's doing an 'impossible job in the face of hysterical abuse'. Conveniently ignoring the 'abuse' that appeared on his social media, of course. Not to mention him overseeing the Club's plummet towards oblivion. Perhaps you believe the Dave Allen who you jeered 'built us a stadium and gave us hand-outs' will welcome you with hugs and kisses as you smugly purchase the season ticket you taunt makes you better then others. The Dave Allen without whom you scoffed we 'wouldn't have a football club'. The Dave Allen you even now seek to exonerate. To excuse. To endorse.

Because here's the punchline - I doubt they give a damn about your snide defences. I'd bet they see you as just another mug punter who turns up every week to watch his team lose. Difference between you and all those you look down upon, though, is they realise that whilst you pretend it's not happening.

Which kinda makes you the stupidest person of all...

If it's who I think it was they were doing that when we were doing well!

£8.5 million wage bill. Their most expensive player Liam Boyce, cost £500,000.
Source is Daily Telegraph, and I never trust newspapsers, but I'll go with that in the absence of 'owt else.
You know we've had a rotten season and conceded 31 goals at home - well they've conceded 43, no less. Imagine going to watch that every week.

Yeah, it must be terrible going into the final game of the championship season with a great chance of staying up.

Much better to be going to Barnet as an already relegated side isn’t it
A new hope.

Aaaahhh but you clearly don't understand H's argument!!!

As that would have involved saint David of Allen risking more money and the club being placed in a perilous financial position but by playing garbage football and plummeting out of the league we have obviously successfully managed to avoid that....

....so really we should be grateful to be relegated!

Surely everyone would much rather see us thrashing Solihull and Ebbsfleet next season than risk losing to Derby or West Brom!!!

It was Dave Allen who said he wanted to get into the Championship. If you are happy to watch third, fourth and fifth tier football in the expectation of seeing a win now and then, good for you.

My goal has always been the Championship since my Dad told me, when I was a tot, that Chesterfield had once been a Championship club and I wasn't to worry because, one day, they would get back there. Every win, in whatever league, has been a stepping stone towards that. The 4th Division Championship was just a step towards that and getting out of the Conference will be a stepping stone towards that.

You have to have goals in life otherwise there's no point in getting out of bed every morning. There needs to be a purpose supporting Town and for me it's not a comfortable existence being a decent League One side and when we are a comfortable League One side again I'll be looking to advance further.

Otherwise there's no flippin' point.

I totally agree surely every fan of every club want to see there team in the highest league possible. even now that we dropping none league I still hope at my age 52 that one day we will get new owners with ambition and I live long enough to see us in championship . pipe dream I know at moment. But look at Burton less support than us and thay could survive again for a third season.hell I would take one season.that's why I go to football and am gonna be renewing my season ticket. in the hope Allen and Carson will be gone one day and we get back were we belong in football league for a start. Than see what happens from their. not to much to ask is it.?

Back on topic I have to say that the 14 minute recognition of Jack was pee poor yesterday. The Kop did nowt. Perhaps he has more detractors in the crowd than I realise.

The ones at the back tried to get something going but nobody else wanted to join in and I don't blame them. Most people just didn't really want to be there
