Given a level playing field CFC have the fan base and facilities to more than challenge for a rapid return.

However I doubt that'll ever be the case under the current regime.

I don't know the politics behind Wrexham's protracted stay in non-league but yeah, at face value they're a sobering example of what our future could look like without a credible takeover...

Bt sport dont cover it well they are a joke. Get players names wrong in the highlights and show the same 2-3 teams every time a game is televised. Chesterfield will be on alot im sure. Whilst some may mock national league clubs theres some in the football league worse like carlisle and grimsby. Boreham woods not a bad ground and the fans dont have thus billy big bollck we are a proper ex football league club attitude. Its good to see them doing well with a young manager. Nastiest cockiest and luckyiest team, dover athletic!

Please tell me they'll show them at 3pm on a Saturday and not move the kick off/day to accommodate this? It's just odd playing at Sunday lunchtime and other stupid times.

Football can't be televised then whether they'd like to or not.

A lot of games get moved to Thursday or Friday nights or Saturday lunch times. Get ready for a lot of games not being Saturday 3pm.

They also get moved at short notice too. I think this weekends games were only decided on Monday as they we waiting to see the results from the weekend for the best game to show

It all sounds absolutely ****** minging

Can we say no? £6k is the equivalent to 300 people attending the game. If they move it to an evening and/or at short notice then we'll probably be net worse off by the impact on attendances.

They were the best part of Cleethorpes

I got quite nostalgic for Saltergate - missing the deep end and shallow end though

You must have a bad aim if you missed both ends

Exactly and thus causing ill will, by p,ing fans off and if we get shown 3 or 4 times at home, some season ticket holders may start to question the value of purchasing a ticket the following season if God forbid we are in the same division.

The tv money will be a benefit to clubs with an average attendance of less than 2000 but apart from (if we had a good marketing team )a possible rise in advertising/sponsorship there's nothing to gain for us.

Tbf this weekend is the end of the national league season, so they had to choose a match that had something riding on it and all the games kick off at 12.30

Isn't there a new expanded deal from next season onwards where most games are televised on Saturday lunchtime. I don't know if the £6K figure has gone up but I assume there is also a pot of money distributed amongst all teams which will make it impossible to say no.

Incidentally the away team has been getting £1K which wouldn't cover the expenditure if the away team is forced into staying in hotels. I read there is to be one a week.

That was 2-4 in January 2005.

We lost 6-0 at home back in Sept 1976.

Had some cracking games with Wrexham, we lost 5-4 there in Dec 1992, I'm pretty certain I had that on tape on one of those Calendar goals round-up.
