My grandad was a scouser. Grew up 100 yards from Goodison. He lied about his age so he could sign up with the navy and go to war while underage. He was the best man I ever knew. He was not vermin.

No he wasn't it was a general comment i should have said i hate Liverpool FC. Always have. Absolutely no way i'd be suggesting your grandad was 'vermin' - but i do think a lot of LFC fans are as proved tonight with the bus incident.

The media dare not touch them though. If that was Milwall they'd go mental.

Fair play, sounds like a top man.

Says a lot about everyone else in Liverpool if he'd rather go and risk being blown up at that age than stay in Liverpool!!

Haha! I live a stones throw from Liverpool these days. Of course, it has it’s rough areas still, just like everywhere else but overall it’s a fantastic place.

Fascinating comments from well-known scouser, Micky Quinn on Talk Sport this morning. He condemns the action of “numpties”. No they’re not numpties Micky, they’re criminals.

It was likely the LFC under 16s, directed by Stevie G to unnerve the MCFC players. The City lot rolled over on the pitch as they didn't want a repeat performance on the way home.

I assume the Plod's finest will have already calculated the probability of reprisals outside the Etihad, possibly even instigated by Man U fans.

That City squad has apparently cost 750 million pounds to assemble and they couldn't even manage a shot on target.......

:D Absolutely! You have to be a special kind of stupid to be throwing bottles around.

Can someone green Merc’s post, please? I negged it by mistake. Fat fingers.

Whatever folk might want to claim against Liverpool fans, they stayed behind to applaud our performance when we drew 4-4 there in the League Cup.

And we took a fair few. But at least the hardcore fans in less glamorous days paid us respect, eh?

Me neither, Warfey. One of the best nights of my life. Good old Andy Morris, Steve Norris and Burt Lancaster. Mark Wright had a mare for them! Radio phone in on way back was superb also

Not good

My overriding memory is glass and barbed wire concreted onto the the back walls of those terraced houses

Kids with grazed knees and nappies on roaming about outside said dwellings
