Okay, thanks for that, 'M'. So there might be shades of Lee/Brown or Haslam/Mansfield.

And does 'debt free' include the A&S Leisure mortgage? All debentures including any outstanding debts to former Boardmembers?

That's a multi-million pound smack in the gob for a bloke who 'doesn't do failure' if so.

Then whilst I don't for one minute expect Carson to admit it, can you also ask (though I'm sure he'll see this post anyway...) if Reg Brealey is involved and where he's suddenly found three million?

So from now we believe Carson, Allen gets the ground and it's just the football club being sold as she always suspected for a long time. We'll see if t comes off again just like the Chinese deal and the Swedish one, and the one at the end of the season.

Maybe it's just a game to them, they've had a quiet pre-season so they both want the spotlight back on them.

Excuse my ignorance. But what does "first charge" mean?

The whole thing? Lock, stock and barrel, for £3m? Wow. How much money has this self-styled "businessman" lost by turning away the Far Eastern consortium?

What makes DA appear so desperate to give the thing away for an amount similar to the A&S mortgage plus a few debentures?
It's nice to be able to Trust again.

Ownership of the ground is not released until all payments are made.

The use of the word "first charge" is interesting though as this is usually associated with a loan, to my mind supporting the rumours DA is lending the buyer the money.

So a deal is close to completion yet no word from Ashley about non-refundable deposits. No surprises there then!!
If only....

As always our friend 'Moondog' is merely the intermediary.

But it does seem convenient that both Carson and Biggs have suddenly broken what seemed liked months of silence...

Then of course there's the fact our Irish folk duo stated there'd be no sale whilst CFC was non-league - so what's changed?

Better what we have now. This is a disaster waiting to happen. Kenworthy fills me with fear. This is bad news, very bad news.

So am I right in saying this means its £3 mill for the football club except the ground & they will be paying instalments for the ground? If so, how much is the ground worth?

We had a loan secured on our house, the lender had "first charge" on the property.. as in that debt had to be settled prior to any sale of the ground. It doesn't infer ownership just the establishment of a lenders right over assets of a borrower...

I wonder if a shareholders meeting will be called to approve the sale of the majority shares?

Anyone else got that sinking feeling again after a pre season with a decent amount of optimism in the air?

Guess timing had more to do with getting plenty of STs sold first, than outcome of fa investigation. Club seller and buyers must have known this would go down badly.

So Uncles Daves last twist of the knife is to saddle us with new owners, that on first reflections nobody wants, safely for him in the knowledge that this is likely to go t its up fairly quickly, starting with almost certainly the resignation of the new in many peoples eyes Messiah Martin, within weeks of the take over if the inferred interference from a Director of football comes in to place.

Just when you thought a corner had been turned, the driver of the car crashes it on purpose, sad worrying times ahead, and you sense this isn't going to end well :(

Possibly... The first charge holder doesnt have any say, they just have to be paid off first.
