Hines had a great game against Luton. Nobody plays well every week at this level but he definitely had ability and will create chances.

Hines looks like he cant be bothered. I've seen Evo run faster than him.

For those intersted the Vanarama National League highlights programme is on BT Sport around 10pm on Sunday evenings

I actually didn't know that - ta. I have the BT Sport app on a free trial so I'll give it a watch. I'll watch it even more attentively next season.
These go to eleven.

I'd agree with that assessment after his last substitute appearance but based on previous home games he worked hard and tracked back pretty well I thought...maybe he's sulking after losing his place?

How many assists over the season that we’re paying this supposed 4-5k a week for? Also you’d play him wide left? He’s technically horrific.

I did say "if I were to play him I'd consider".

For all his faults he does have brawn and he has put a number of good crosses in this season from wide.

Then again, wasn't that a peach from Weir with his left foot last night?

The only good cross we put in all night, rowleys crossing is worse than boly's ever was and dodds was worse on tother wing... woeful.
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

He doesn’t use his brawn at all though, he’s constantly knocked off the ball when trying to hold it up, compare that to ikpeazu who knew how to protect the ball and bring others into the game while still offering a constant goal threat himself. We’re being mugged off by this joker going through the motions which is tough to watch.

It was put into a good area but it was an even better header to get the power and direction as he did. As you say O’Grady would’ve missed and 50 penced it for a throw in.

The embarrassing thing about our target man is the times he is set to receive the ball with his back to his marker, and he waits..and waits for the ball to arrive, and then the marker merely runs round him and intercepts the ball.

A shopping trolley or wheelie bin would probably have a similar success rate - at least these are fairly difficult to get around.

I think he fell into at one point after knocking the ball past a defender and instantly losing it. What's Hines done to be behind him in the pecking order?

Think Hines is more left sided than right - and due to his lack of defensive nous Jack probably didn't fancy putting him in front of a non-natural left back (Weir)

I've said it many times, SEB and COG are clones apart from SEB scoring the occasional goal.

Rowley has been poor just recently, another one that lacks experience in the current situation we find ourselves in. But he finds himself in a team full of similar players and loanees.

Jack should never have come here and sullied his great name while those t0ssers are running the club into the ground. Others said it at the time - I didn’t - I was just glad of welcoming a hero home to lift the deadening gloom. And though he managed it for a while and convinced many doubters to come round and believe and come back to cheer the team on, ultimately, you can’t build a fortress on rotting foundations, especially when you have zero experience as a fully-fledged manager.

Still, he’s here now. He’s making mistakes, as would be expected of any fledgling manager. Under normal conditions, because of who he is and how his record still stands up to Caldwell’s at least, he’d be given more leeway. But even a legend like Jack is getting infested with the rot from above. I don’t want him to walk out as he’s one of the few things I can respect inside the club now, but if he did, I wouldn’t blame him. If he stays, he needs to call up some big favours from experienced managers to help out quick.

It’s getting to something when Chris (Snell) is starting to sound like Walton...

Here's my take on the situation.Jack is not really the manager,he's just a 'front' because of the legendary status.TW is actually pulling all the strings with regards to player recruitment.Jack wanted 4 windows, well window 1 was a bag o sh**te!Why wasn't he raiding Forest's academy for 1 or 2 of their best, rather than 4 Barnsley rejects coming our way.Why is the 'goalkeeping coach' in charge of free kicks? Why does Nicky Eadon never stand up?Why where we on the verge of signing JCH from Rotherham when My mate who is a season ticket holder says we 'dodged a bullet' with that one?Don't get me wrong I like JL.I like his interviews, his positivity, but 15 games left becomes 14 becomes 13.......

Agree he has lacked end product and drifted out of games for long spells recently

I've watched Rowley and appreciate he's never ever a wide player.he lacks pace and very rarely goes past a defender.his plus side is he has quick feet good close control,an ideal number 10.if we're going to get the most he needs to be switched.there is a player in him

Ok, apart from you've chucked Talbot and Coke in. Both which you have slated Lester for bringing in due to their poor fitness.

I have slated Lester for bringing coke into the side too early he needed time or a shorter debut, he is not injury prone, Talbot is injury prone but he is nearly back I believe.

Are these centre halves suited to playing as a 3? Genuine question as I don't know the answer. Having never played centre half I don't know what the major tactical difference is working as a 3 as opposed to working as a 2 in a back 4.
