"I've come in to work on the business side of the club and look at how we can rebuild positivity and confidence among the staff and the supporters. There's a very good infrastructure here, for this level, and I think we can turn things around.
"We've got to reconnect with the fans and with the town itself. There's a good fanbase here and they know their club. They tell it how it is and you have to be honest with them about things.
"It's going to be very difficult and there will be low points along the way. But there is a long way to go this season, and I think we have got a very good football management team in place with Jack Lester, Nicky Eaden and Tommy Wright."

But I'm happy to give this Dunford bloke the benefit of the doubt until we learn otherwise. Infact simply making statements that tally with the truth will be a major step forward...

From claiming SEB was a decent player (not even got a club at present),to saying we had to sell Doyle because his contract was up (he had a season and a bit left), then the classic 'Chris Turner is doing a great job, running rings around so called accountants (who actually were accountants), onto your most recent campaign against our 2 cb's (when everyone knows the problem was in the midfield) etc etc...
You're consistently wrong, which is fine, opinions are like ringpieces, everyone has one, problem with you is you have a dig, get it wrong, then disappear until you think people might forget. You never ever admit you were wrong. In fact you usually double down and try to ride your massive blunders by slagging others off. Why would anyone try to discuss anything with you when you failed to acknowledge being wrong before!?
Yeah, DA has thrown money at the club, but he's also made monumental errors, and now we're saddled with debt, and it's the club on the line, not Uncy Dave. So please don't play the 'I'm open to criticism' card. You aren't. I'm sure anyone who posts on here gets it wrong now and again (me included), but most are willing to admit it.
Try being nice. You might like it.
I don't do little green numbers but if I did...

Doesn't sound like you're doing any such thing to me. You identify your perceived three negatives but don't mention a single postitive. As someone with your extensive football connections will know, he was very highly regarded at Derby County. But let's not let that interfere with sinicism! Any appointment that takes AC away from mainstream decisions is a very, very big plus for me, as is Dunford's commitment to engage regularly with supporters. I would have presumed that you will welcome that and do your best to participate.

I welcome it.
However, what Mr Dunford perhaps doesn't realise yet is that there is a direct link between fans' disillusionment and the problems, which he has already dismissed as being for 'others' to sort out.
His goal should be the opposite : to openly put effort in to consigning the problems to the history books. The fans will then return. I look forward to being able to explain my opinion to him.

I agree and he will need to be prepared to do a lot of listening if he is to be successful.

Lets hope there's more of that sort of thing to come.
They used to meet fans regularly at the fans forum meetings.
But guess what Carson stopped them.
