Vinnie Jones 3/1 (he worked wonders with that prison team).

Cherie Lunghi?

Edit: Didn't Norman Stanley Fletcher manage the Slade Xi to victory??

For the sake of fairness, you need to add the cross dressing pundit from last night's episode of W1A.

I'm sorry but to me that's not good enough.

The fans need to write an open letter imploring Jack not to take the job, not because he wouldn't be wanted here as manager, but because the rest of the hierarchy here couldn't give a toss about this club and are here to stay by the looks of things. God forbid it went wrong and fans started turning on him, that'd literally be the only way this season could get any worse at the moment.

In most other situations I'd happily welcome him back, but please Jack don't do it now.

Agree totally. The opportunity available "here and now" would be such a waste of JL's ambition and evident talent. I would hope to see him here in a couple of years, assuming that is that the Club can last that long.

Understand these sentiments, but, as far as Jack is concerned, I fear in two years time his managerial career will be on an orbit well above us. He will be 43 then, and I am sure he will hope he has a decent appointment by then.

It's indeed a sad state of affairs.

I'm bang in favour. I love the guy and I think he's the perfect antidote to the off field rubbish. He's just about the only man who could instantly lift the matchday black cloud down Whitt Moor.

I suspect he'll make a very good manager somewhere and soon too so we might as well get in there now.

His appointment would be just about the only thing that will get me back at a home game. Game one at least.

The fans will not turn on Jack. We need a positive atmosphere back at the Proact with the fans behind the team & the manager. Whilst my first choice would still be Cotterill, I'd welcome Jack with open arms & plenty of optimism.

I with you mate, Jack back would lift everyone and after reading that piece on his coaching methods someone posted on here a while back ( I can't seem to find it!) I think it's just what the club needs now

Dear Jack, you were a good honest pro, everything at the club is now exactly the opposite of good or honest, do yourself a favour, an looks elsewhere.

I'd rather him not associate himself with the like of Carson. He's too good for that.

Totally agree with you matey! Anyone who gets the job will fail because they will see to that one way or another, and any failure on Sir Jack's part in his first role in management if he takes the job, would have a massive impact on any other managerial role he fancied thereafter! Do yourself a favour Jack, keep doing what you're obviously good, keep on learning your trade and wait for the right opportunity and club, and rather regrettably that certainly ain't us at the moment. Maybe next year in the conference if this lot's finally had their fill and cleared off by then!
