For example.......If you were shopping at Morrisons and the lady on the checkout called you a Cxxt. Would you report it and what would happen to that lady?!?!

Please note - Other shopping outlets are available...

Agreed. However, You are always going to get some fans who post in that manner. If AC is not capable of ignoring such comments, he shouldnt be on Twitter and in the position he's in at our Football Club. As a professional Director of a club, under no circumstances can you say what he's said to a fan / coustomer.

Agreed. To a degree.
Ashley Carson should be able to accept criticism of how this business is being run because it's a business that's always in the public eye and it's what comes with the territory. However. If somebody calls you a bell end then it becomes a personal insult which is totally unacceptable.
So for people to start climbing on their high horses because he retaliated to a personal insult is just being Mardy. Imagine this, if your driving your car and another driver calls you a bell end do you rise above it and ignore them or would you tell them to f**k off?

Raise above it, smile and carry on. Imo as a director of a football club, he should have just ignored it. That's what I believe anyway. If we think it's ok for our management to go around calling fans Cxxts irrespective of what they get called then we live in a crazy world. how hard would it be to just press block like he normally does.

I think Ashley needs a PR consultant.

So despite having exactly the same experience as his new kit man had I'm up for the gig.

But only as long as he pays me more than he's offered other applicants...

Belle end is low down on the list of profanities unlike ****. That aside, I suspect the guy who called him that is not a director of anything, let alone the local football cluB

Not really comparable. Unless you are Lewis Hamilton..in which case to stop the public outcry and embarrass Mercedes and all sponsors you'd rise above it as you are in a position of responsibility

If you aren't Lewis Hamilton then you'd probably get away with telling them to F off in return

Belle end or bell end? We need clarity on this.

Oh Ashley, what have you done this time? Perhaps Sally and he will be able to sort this together tomorrow. In private.

It's a bit misleading of the guy on twitter to just put Ashley's message on if he's been involved in slinging insults as well.

We have enough legitimate information to bash him with without having to resort to a dual of handbags on twitter.

Saying that it's time Ashley realised he's not going to win the vast majority of fans back, there's too much water under the bridge now due to the horrendous running of the club. Hopefully they start taking the issue of selling up seriously and end this whole sorry mess as soon as.

Imagine slinging insults and then posting any response direct to all the CFC twitter accounts to generate faux outrage.

A grown man getting upset he's been called a mean name. And now other grown men debating whether or not it matters one jot.

It's a whole load of "Meh"

She needs to send him a written warning.

Section 127 of the Communications Act 2003 makes it an offence to send or cause to be sent through a "public electronic communications network" a message or other matter that is "grossly offensive" or of an "indecent or obscene character".

Yep, this is what our once great football club as become, I'm afraid. We should all be talking about the signings and how much we're looking forward to the season etc. But we're not and there is a reason for that.

He needs to be taken in hand by Sally over this.

Guilty as charged then, forget the warning, prosecute him.

Depends if the person was grossly offended. It's never a good idea to be offended on somebody else's behalf, in my opinion.

I get that Carson was abused himself - but to use that word in response?

Well, I'd suggest he'd be instantly suspended pending disciplinary action at many, perhaps most other businesses.

Let's see if the current CFC is so morally upstanding.

(PS: to offer folk a clue let's remember Fitzgerald received a generous exit package for running a fake raffle and lying about it...)

I wonder how many previous employees have been dismissed through the written warning letter tot up procedure?
