It's b..ollux mate, at the last AGM I asked why Turner wasn't present being as he was, at the time the AGM covered, CEO, and had links during the last financial year to the DC and was integral to the questions to be asked that night. The..erm Chair..replied that Turner was away on buisness down South ( as far away as possible I replied) in his new role as DoF, only for AC to later reveal on social media later thathe'd told him to stay away because his new position deemed his presence irrelevant. They will say what they want, when they want..they simply aren't to be trusted. They disgust me and I pray for the day the disappear from the face of Chesterfield FC.

'M'.

To clarify, and given your presence at the AGM in question, was it CT or DA that made the two hundred grand from Pompey claim?

Just a thought, where is the money coming from to fund this years trip(jolly) to Portugal or whatever destination for the pre season conference that AC and CT attended last year

Utterly shambolic & entirely predictable.

Carson is saying Turner outright lied on a point of fact at the AGM basically.

It's just so easy to once again put all the blame on a former employee who can't respond back as no doubt a confidentiality clause was signed as part of his severance pay package.

So it was the former CEO rather than the then Chairman stating the two hundred grand figure?

Okay, fair enough, I stand corrected; but why didn't Carson or Allen - who I'm guessing were both present - correct his claim?

Why has a supposed lie been allowed to stand for two years?

Infact why has it taken until Pompey actually going up and Town fans asking what'll happen to the cash for Carson to clarify?

AC beleives it would have been CT as he did the deal with Portsmouth's Mark Catlin and knew the fine detail

Being blamed for anything at all was what went with the pay-off. All part of the plan.

May I quote Sir Walter Scott , not only a literately genius..Rob Roy and Ivanhoe, but a forerunning legal administrator and judge..."Oh! what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive!"..says it all really! The truth, as always, WILL OUT,

Which beggars the question if CT did the deal and knew the full details why would an inflated figure be quoted by him at the agm and again the same figure be stated at a fans forum ?

I'm sure it was Turner who made the claim only for Carson to question the actual terms of the deal.

Why would the documented facts have not been common knowledge amongst all senior club officials?

My view to placate the fans whilst giving a favourable impression of his negotiating skills, hoping the answer would eventually be forgotten

Beggars belief that the owner and his key representative didn't ask the ex footballer CEO to have the legal framework of any agreement checked, so ensuring what was being reported to them was in fact so.

So why didn't they correct Turner's public statement?

It must be remembered at the time of that AGM that Turner WAS the CEO, and therefore was answering questions according to that title. Carson was, in my eyes anyway, a mere insect acting as an irritant, little did I know eh?

Thanks, 'Mr M'.

I'm happy to retract my impression that it was the then chairman who made the statement.

This is clearly a case of Carson now rebutting the former CEO's word.

At the time of that AGM it was blatantly clear Turner was seen as "cock of the middings", Carson was a little known "tick" and Allen was still blustering under the shield of "don't worry about the debt, I'll worry about the debt" multi millionaire owner. I think it's the last time any of us remotely bought into what the top table said!

As a Pompey fan obviously I'm a bit hammered at this stage - but...

Wow, £200k would be a lot of money to pay for a promotion from L2 to L1 - given we could have plausibly ended up paying after one season when it would have effectively cost us an additional £4k or so a week on what is reported to be a significant salary. Hopefully your previous CEO was being a bit economical/extravagant with the truth.

Either way I hope you manage to get the parasites out from your club - proper supporters don't deserve lies, deception and shysters.

Here's a question for AC regarding former managers, has any partner/wife of a former manager ever been employed by the club? If so, over what period, what was their role and what salary was paid?

In the cold light of day, it does seem an inordinate amount of cash to pay out on top of all other bonuses due for a mere promotion to the third tier. As a number of others say on here have said, what on earth were the real holders of the strings thinking letting the CEO spout such guff?
