Genuinely fear we could drop out the football league next season.

Culmination of this current board and the seemingly horrendous tactics and signings from our clueless manager could see this happen..

No, Walton hasn't taken over my account either..

It's unlikely, but you can't just dismiss it. What if no buyer is found? The club continues to haemorrhage money, Allen has to keep putting more and more money in to keep us solvent, the budget gets slashed as a result, attendances plummet, lots of things can happen.

It's unlikely, but we'd be foolish to dismiss it.

Your last sentence is spot on. The thing to remember is that we have no idea which players will be here next year. That in itself brings uncertainty in the sense that we are going to have a huge turnover, with a reduced budget at a club haemorrhaging cash. We have no idea about what quality of players we will see. I cannot imagine us going on a spending spree and could well see a team full of Dennis, Dimaio et all. Both of which are confence players at best.

Much like the supporters at morecambe, Orient, Blackpool and forest there is a nothing we can do about it either.

A buyer won't be found as we aren't r ally looking. League 2 is so bad the side we had out today would survive

What?
Lincoln would have destroyed us today.
Id put us down as one of the favourites to go down again looking at our form.

The side we had out today, a team from the conference north would easily dismantle us.
We are a club in free fall.

Our manager has a clean slate (playing staff) to start with for next season so the chances are he will be able to play his own square pegs in the tactical square holes. I have faith in a successful season next season. Just like Donny have had this season.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

I don't share your optimism, after seeing the loans he brought in....

Quite a few around us were saying the same during the game today.

it could happen, we are a club with no direction at the moment at all at any level, there is no leadership on the pitch, in the dressing room or the board room, that is a dangerous combination.

Really?
Carson has said next season we have to be cash neutral, he also, said relegation will cost us,around £1million. We are running a loss of £1.3 million.
We therefore need to cut £2.3million from the clubs overheads. Which is about the same size as the players wage bill.
Throw in the expected fall in season ticket sales and it doesn't leave a vast of money to spend on new players.
Now,factor,in our inexperienced manager, his style,of,play and its suitability for the basement division and you can easily foresee a season of struggle.
Were in a downward spiral, and we haven't hit the bottom yet.

But he hasn't a 'clean slate', has he.

His January signings were less than useless - only one even on the bench whilst others have either returned to their parent club or 'gone missing' - whilst his bewildering teams, tactics and substitutions have made things worse rather than better. Much worse.

Meanwhile stories of him falling out with senior players, in exactly the same way he allegedly did at Wigan, refuse to go away.

Then there's the arrival of Branston. Caldwell's choice or someone he's had imposed upon him? Either way his record at Notts hardly instils confidence.

I just hope that between them they don't squander the scandal-hit finances available leaving Caldwell's October, maybe November replacement with a Matlock-esque budget to save us.
Never underestimate the stupidity of people

I think mark atkins would arguably do a better job than Caldwell.

We've got to get 22 hammer us. Most of that lot won't even be here next season. We won't go down, if anyone wants a bet, what odds are on offer?

We are fkin useless at the minute but the talk of going through the trap door, is a little premature at this stage, but it does make for pointless, sensationalist reading I suppose, until we know what squad we have.

I'm not even convinced we know for sure we have a manager for next year yet.
