Guess that Oldham must have a board than wanted to stop up when they took Sheridan back.

I said at the time he needed to be backed; he wanted Davies to stay and DA said no....it was game over as soon as Donaldson went elsewhere.
For me, it wad DA who learned the lesson; he rightly backed Cook, then decided to pull the plug when he couldn't manage his own business...

Your use of the word "acting" is so commendable.

We gave up before we kicked off, mate, don't blame going down to ten men.
In his pre-match interview Caldwell said Sarfend are a team that like to start matches on the front foot. So, what were his tactics? Answer = to let them!!!!
Now, just suppose, we had tactically set up to put them out of their stride and ourselves started on the front foot in yet another "must win" game is it just possible the crowd might have got behind the team and we might have, if nothing else, have got a corner?
Instead, Caldwell decides it's a good idea to let them start like they want to and see if we can absorb it.
I've come to the conclusion that the Board have failed to write into his contract a low limit on compensation payable should it be terminated, not put in a relegation clause, whilst inserting a good promotion bonus. As a result, Caldwell has worked it out that he can't fail to get extra money either by being sacked or by going down and reigning long enough to win promotion. Basically, AC said relegation wasn't an option but GC realised it was a better option if he was to get a promotion bonus.
He is so arrogant that he actually thinks Wigan will come running for his services after seeing the wonderful progress he has made at the Proact. He cannot see that other managers can read him like a book and find it easy to set their teams up to beat us. 2 wins out of 16 games, both just 1-0 .... a last minute goal versus a very poor Swindon with our first shot of the game and the other against a very poor injury ravaged Port Vale.
Then, consider his contacts in the game and the favours they gave him in January - six poor to terrible signings, some recommended, some he claimed to have seen in action, yet he is going to be trusted to sign up players on longer term contacts in the next few months and blow next season's budget.
As said before - it will be cheaper to get rid now than to wait until he has done even more damage.
