Young? Dennis is 27.
At which age Fowler had left Liverpool and arguably was on a downward spiral.

I'll put it another way for the terminally pedantic. He looks and plays like Robbie Fowler did when he was young.

But you understood perfectly well what I was saying in the first place, so why bother trying to score cheap points?

I will be more clear.
He looks nothing like one of the most prolific strikers we have seen in this country in the last 20 odd years.
Unless, at a stretch, you are talking facially.

He did say KD looks like Fowler so who knows. Not sure of the relevance of facial features lol

Any further comment on Turner setting up a youth acadamy ( CFCPPP) which was second to none at this level and possibly the one above?
A new hope.

The stand out moment was his lay off to Rai which started Rai's long run, second half. Perfect control and pace on the ball. His talent is wasted whilst we can't get the ball to his feet often enough. He spent too much time chasing high balls.

For 17 years old, he is some talent

Funny you should say that as I've often thought Sam Hird is very much like Bobby Moore...

I have.
From the outset the owner and Ashley Carson and his fellow directors failed in their duties as directors to monitor Turner and Sutcliffe with whom they risked £200k of CFC money on a project which was a great idea and should have been a resounding success. Their excuse will be that they never knew what was happening. In reality, they never asked what was happening. The reason for that was none of them except Ashley gave a s**t what was happening to DA's money because they were never treated as Directors.

One thing, Dave.

There's a ruddy gret big Portakabin at the top north west corner of the ground which Sutcliffe used.

At what point did anyone ask 'Hold on a minute - who's paying for this'?

PS: maybe Maureen might tell us just how much gear Sutcliffe had out the Club Shop and whether or not he paid for it when she retires...

Ha ha.

Me and Maureen go back years. She's as honest as the day is long and she's been a great servant. Her reward will be that she will have to sign a confidentiality agreement before she gets her CFC pension.

that's a bit harsh.
He has a very sweet left foot. He's good at shielding the ball. Although he works hard, he's a fox in the box, and I suspect that he has a very good ratio of hitting the target, compared to missing, when he shoots. Highlights show only a superb save prevented him finishing off the Rowley run. The clown in charge gave a goal kick.

With a better midfield providing quality balls, I think Rowley and Dennis could be very effective. Dion had a poor game yesterday. I'm relieved that injury was the probable reason as at the time I thought his head had dropped.

We have 2 very good prospect next season with Joe Rowley and German both young lads with a great future in front of them if handled properly.

I just hope the club hold on to them so we can benefit as a team to progress up the table.

You can add Maguire to that list. Has looked very assured since he's come back into the team

I hope German gets his head on right he reminds me a bit like Bolly. Obviously he has got loads of talent but is he willing to put that extra effort in to gain aa 1st team place. At a recent seniors dinner Evo said he tended to be a little bit lazy in training and needs to be more focused on the game. I thought that was notable at Southend when at ht he should have been warming up, he was taking selfies with family and friends and told them he was coming on at 70minutes, surely he should have been warming up ready to fire on all cylinders. He certainly knows where the net is when given the right service and he'll score us plenty of goals in the future if he listens to the coaching staff. You could see glimpses of what he has to offer when he ran onto a few through balls at Crewe in the Checkatrade trophy on a very wet night. I had a little chat with Kerr before yesterdays game and he came across as a very knowledgable and enthusiastic bloke, listening to him on the touchline in reserves / junior matches he knows what he's talking about.

Well, he moves into all the right positions, chases everything, brings others into the game when he can't do much himself, has an excellent eye for goal and very rarely wastes a ball.
Given the service Robbie Fowler got he'd score shed loads of goals. How do you think that's different from Robbie Fowler?
Have a think about it before the knee-jerk reaction kicks in.

He's playing for town
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

I think I will let that post hang there. The 27 year old Dennis is comparable to a young Robbie Fowler. Really?
Thing is I like Dennis for what he is,

Classic HAG!

You can see the 'Robbie Fowler' in our 27 yr old forward who came from non-league, but you can never see a good defender in Sam Hird!
