Blimey - he reddened a few asses in his time!

Infact I remember him lining me and my mates up outside his office once, pointing to the trophy cabinet, then drawing our attention to the fact awards had supposedly ended when it became a girls included secondary school.

Before rattling our backsides in the traditional manner, of course.

That little episode always left me wondering if his zeal to dispense 'the stick', as we used to call it, had deeper connotations than merely dispensing discipline.

Why are we discussing red asses on a Jack Rowley thread?

About time we got Marcia on the job threatening some" post moderation" on some of you deviants

Is he Joe's brother?

Maybe we should get back to discussing Joe.

Looks a pretty decent prospect to me...

At last!!!!

I've been waiting for somebody to complain about this. Thank you.

At one time it was possible to discuss football matters on these boards and, more often than not, posters would stick to the thread title. Now threads degenerate off topic far too often and can make it totally worthless going into any thread. Whilst we have references to Dan Gardner on the Dan Jones thread these childish one-upmanships regarding school punishments on the Joe Rowley discussion thread has gone to far and really does need to be moderated.

Yes Chris I agree. I had to see Mr. Crookes one day and had three strokes of the cane. Can still remember it was pretty keen. Never went back for anymore.

Yes, Rowley looks to have a very bright future, but not with a struggling 2nd Div outfit.

He will be gone before next season with the rumours that Everton, Newcastle and others are circling round.

We will have to wait and see if we are a "struggling 2nd Div outfit".

For some unbeknown reason I don't think we will be, though.

As far a Joe is concerned, from a career point of view, he would be better off choosing to play first team football rather than doing an Ariyibi. If he progresses he will get a good move and will possibly have a queue of clubs to choose from.

Ariyibi is the perfect example of what not to do to make it big.
Hopefully, Joe will realise this, work his socks off and have a queue of teams willing to pay bucketloads.
Like I said: hopefully!

If Ariyibi had carried on playing as he was and stayed with us, he'd never have had another club. He moved at the right time- probably even one transfer window too late both for his sake and that of the club.
These go to eleven.
