Just wondered if anyone else had seen the comment made by Ashley re a possible buyer that has passed due diligence...

I'd like to think this might, also, be linked with the fact that it seems that DA has confirmed that Caldwell will "stand or fall" next season, not this.

As such, the cost of getting rid could fall on any potential new owners.

In a one year rolling contract won't he always have one year's service to come and, unless a termination limitation is built into his contract, he will always be owed one years pay?

That's as I understand it, and certainly was the case with Wilson.

That's the way I understand it too. But, there seems to be a reluctancy to let us know if there is built into the contract a limitation on termination cost. Any compensation doesn't have to be "one year's salary" or whatever figure can be negotiated below that.

Another way round the compensation issue is to give one year's notice now with a view to withdrawing it if fortunes improve to acceptable levels.

It is very very rare for a manager to receive a pay off of a full contract- even at Prem level.
Usually a compromise is reached- if not it is far too expensive for a manager to challenge in court so they just accept whatever the offer is.
(Normally less than half of what contract stated).
We would have done the same with Saunders and Danny Wilson

Looks like he is running out of followers. He will go and talk to DA,s pigeons, at least they won't challenge what he says.

No, it followed him saying "I really think it is best if i stop answering questions. Just save to fans forum event. You have never ever had so much communication and information from the top. NEVER. And still not enough !"

Perhaps, but I suspect like on many occasions here it's a knee jerk reaction.

If AC can't communicate with a placid and mild-mannered individual like you, Mark, he was always going to find it difficult sooner or later.

Was it Les Ashmore's post which triggered this?

And I thought he was bouncing back.

He loves a drama, its pathetic. Just give regular updates (without response) and organise a fans forum. Simple

Ah Comical. To the first and last time I'll ever quote Ronan Keating but "you say it best, when you say nothing at all".

Sorry people.

I prefer the words of James Brown "Talking loud and saying nothing."

If he didn't keep telling porkie pies in his communication which we have never had before perhaps it wouldn't have ended like this! Lilley Land will never be the same

No Mate he has continued to post. Sounds like it was a post in frustration at the amount of fuss over the pie contract or "Piegate" as AC called it.

He made a couple of further postings before he said he was signing off for the night, however when doing so he removed himself from the group, shown by the fact he's no longer amongst the list of members

When AC first started posting on here, some applauded him for being open and giving info. I am not often right but I think I said at the time that directors should keep off social media cos nothing good could come of it. Should have listened AC.
