As soon as we started batting it looked a different wicket to what we had let Leicestershire get nearly 500 on

How many times did that happen last season when we put the opposition in?

Good recovery eventually but we have to bowl better in their second innings or hope for rain tomorrow lol

There aren't many demons in the wicket, the outfield is amazingly quick for April and there is a pretty short boundary. I think a bit of scoreboard pressure played a part when we batted. They could add pretty quickly today if we're not careful. Morley should have a good bowl, take the pace off the ball.

Their skip wasn't very adventurous or did he show us to much respect, probably well deserved respect though, with our new opener.

I'm quite liking how this season is shaping up. Speaking to a few Middlesex fans at Derby yesterday and it seems like Andersson was a player they would have liked to keep.
It looks like we'll be on the top side of a draw against Middlesex and that's not a bad place to be in.

Be nice to win this but not sure we'll take these wickets quickly enough.

Watched a bit this morning and looked a bit of a slog to make much happen with the ball so was always going to be a big ask to roll them over in time. The yorker that go Du Plooy looked like it hurt him on top of the sore toe he already had!

These hybrid pitches will not be good for the long game (4 innings). Very bland.

Didn't help that neither Reece nor Andersson bowled yesterday but both were in the field so can't have been serious issues.

i went down on the last day hoping to see a derbyshire victory but really thinking they would bat out the day

without any alarms

the only real excitement was the two wickets in the last over before lunch which i just missed having made an

early start to the chip shop just outside the ground lol
