We really ought to win this game with relative comfort.

Just as an aside

If you're watching on the stream, the chap they interviewed regarding the opening of the 'sensory room' could have created the need for several sensory rooms in town when he didn't see any reason to give us a free kick when Kabby got crippled.

Congrats to Derbyshire. A County Championship win from their first game of the season and comprehensively too. Let's hope they can be consistently competitive all season. Love to see them have another season in League One. Well done to Luis Reece too for ten wickets in a match.

Cracking win. The players looked fitter and hungrier.
Gloucs were without 2 overseas, but we were missing Tickner too.
Jewell looks a lot of fun to watch.
Reece and Madsen have been fabulous players. We have been lucky to have them.

We looked a well balanced side. Add Tickner for Brown on Friday and I think we improve a little more.

Will probably go next Friday for day 1 v Northants, weather dependent.

You do wonder how much we are relying on Madsen to an extent still although the Aussie looks decent. Rest of the batting around those two possibly still looks a bit flimsy.

I certainly wouldn't have Lloyd opening. Came would 100% be my opener alongside Jewell.

We probably aren't going to threaten Lancs and Middlesex, based on resources and squad size.

There's no reason we can't finish above the rest, with some luck with overseas and injuries.

We've got left arm medium with Reece, right arm spin with Lloyd, left arm spin with Morley, pace with Tickner. A few options for once.

And so it starts after the positive win....Harry Moore out for a minimum of 8 weeks with a back injury!

He wouldn't have played much anyway as he's got his A-Level exams coming up.

We had lots of options last year too but it didn't do us much good

I decided to go to Grace Road today. A superb decision.

I like Jewell's cover drive. I don't want to see it attempted 4 times an over.

Good recovery ton by Andersson with back up from Dal, Chappell & Tickner.

Meanwhile in Division One, Yorkshire back on track with a steamroller job on Worcs.

Fantastic century by Andersson, coming in at 139-6.

Good knock. I'm not sure he'll take too many wickets but he's far too good to be batting at number 8. Still lots of work to do to potentially save the game.
