Whenever we seem to be making some strides forward we seem to end up getting in a rut again. Not sure what the answer is and it doesn?t help with the imbalance in county cricket that sees bigger counties hoovering up any decent talent smaller counties have coming through.

We don't help ourselves though. I know we haven't had a lot of luck with our overseas players recently but having all these substandard foreign imports that don't seem to feature in any form of the game is mind boggling. Wonder how much dinero we squander flying these 3rd rate buggars back and forth, putting them up in hotels and actually paying them to sit around.

I've bought a membership for the last two seasons, knowing full well I wouldn't get the value from it in terms of attending in person but it's not really inspired me to renew. Not least that the members facilities at Derby are virtually non-existent. A few pence off an overpriced priced of San Miguel which is at least in a proper pint pot but you've no hope of getting a seat on the balcony anyway.

Apart from Chesterfield I have probably been to about 3 days cricket at Derby not including a day this week. I'm afraid HQ holds absolutely nothing for members of ordinary punters (if there are any of those). Mind you the shambolic format of the season doesn't help.

I only take membership out help keep them alive.

Don't be pessimistic it's now 134-8.

What a shambles.

Lively wicket though can we bowl as well, or can they bat as badly?

I reckon you could send the Saltergate cricket team in from batters 3 and 4 and we'd have more than 133 on the board for 8 wickets down even against Middlesex.

They were the comments I made on my members questionnaire. Can't see me bothering next year given I'll likely only want to go to the T20 here and day 1/2 of any 4 day game. I do it like you for other reasons, nostalgia perhaps too but see little other benefit. I don't want to go to Uttoxeter races or get in at Leicester or Northampton for their 4 day games.

Was there ant vitriol aimed at the management team? I watched passages of play on the stream, but I have the sound turned down because I feel that the 'Fletch' character has a downer on town with nowt good to say about it and when football is mentioned he only recognises 2 teams in Derbyshire and one of them plays in Staffs

I don't see that personally.

Anyway, apparently MA lost his rag at the members forum last night.

I can see Arthur tossing it off soon as a bad idea...seem to be going nowhere currently despite some change of players and him being around for a few years now. Dont think Derbyshire will sack him but can seem him walking to a nicer job elsewhere.

I hope so. I've had enough of him.

Another capitulation. Is that one win in the county championships in two years?

The lack of major reaction to it says a lot itself to be honest....its almost now that we take the wins in any format with some happiness but dont expect it. Living off continually beating the Yorkie at Queens Park in T20!

I'd have told him to **** off if he'd spoken to me like that and reminded him I'd be around long after his miserable tenure has been forgotten.

To be fair to MA. She (sorry I couldn't remember her name) was quite rude to him when he was addressing another person's question at the time. She had already asked a question previously.

Regardless of Derbyshire's performance, it doesn't matter if Mickey Arthur or Mickey Mouse are in charge. Soon their won't be a Derbyshire County Cricket Club to complain about. The quest to keep the club financially afloat are getting harder.

I'll keep buying my membership as I love to support cricket Derbyshire and mainly for County Cricket at Queen's Park. However, I feel the end is nigh and it would be a travesty for those that want the longer format of the game.
