You can be sure that today's the day Jos Buttler's game comes off and he gets 110 off 45 balls.

You always dread Buttler hitting a big score particularly if he has done **** all in his previous innings
It will be a good match though if both sides could match the scores made at the Oval last night lol

further update covers still on so delayed start but apparantley the start could be delayed an hour till 730 and no overs will be lost

It’s always a big ask for teams like Derbyshire when the opposition roll out 4 international batsmen in the top 4!! If one fails it’s likely a couple of the others will go well. Batting is their strong card though, Luke wood aside with them dropping Gleeson they may be a bit light. They will have overs from likes of Mitchell and Croft potentially and only two real seamers.

Not bad start for Derbyshire v Worcs, if not for the opening pair, Worcestershire's card'd look a bit sick.

Record 4th wicket stand of 267 for Derbyshire today. Dad would have enjoyed that although I know he would have preferred it to have been against Yorkshire or Surrey.

If anything Wayne Madsen seems to be getting better with age. Don't think it'll be easy to bowl them out a second time, especially if Aitchison isn't fit to bowl, be we should be able to put them under pressure and hopefully no more than the odd shower today.

My uncle used to tell me about the time he got into the Park after work one Saturday morning and saw that
Derbyshire were batting but he thought they were batting slowly

Then he realised that Yorkshire had already been bowled out for 44 lol

Derbyshire then made 277 and then had the Puddings at 37 for 6 when rain saved them from defeat Typical lol

That was 75 years ago yesterday

Got the stream on now....cant help but think we need to potentially try and move the game forward a bit more. Weather is a bit changeable currently and whilst these two are nearing a 100 partnership its not been a quick one. Dal is 40 of 114 balls and i'm not expecting him to go all T20 and start trying to got a 7\8 an over but there doesnt appear to be much from him to rotate the strike etc. Lead is nearing 200 so maybe they will push on a bit after lunch.

Tom Wood playing for the seconds has just milked the puddingas for 167 in 217 balls. However no doubt the Puddings will claim its against their 9th X1

When was the last time Derbyshire had 3 with hundreds in one innings and one got a double century? I can’t recall it in recent years.
