I've no idea if there is any truth in that, I can only hope we haven't come to this. having conceded 3 today if he doesn't start Tuesday it will add to the suspicion, one thing that did strike me though after reading this rumour on another thread was to wonder if this was one of the reasons why evatt was reinstated as captain following hird being given the arm band after liddle's departure...

strange when interviewed this week he said hed be ready v northampton , wheres this rumour come from ,?this would just cap it all

Payment? Thought it was a contract extension and pay rise, if so? So what.. he's one of our better players and is also one of the most consistent too, so why not give him a new contract??

I can only think it's because caldwell wants to wipe the slate come june and build his own squad.
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

The payment rumour appears to have come from you? The other thread is about possible contract extension

If Hird playing would activate some clause, why put him on the bench? Does this clause only apply to matches he starts?

Usually on pitch appearances. Unpicked substitute doesn't class as an appearance.
