Regards Chris Turner and Ashley Carson - they say they have made efforts to find a buyer but this has so far failed - about 3 or 4 days of doing what I want to know. It surely takes weeks to sort this out not days. I'm not sure I'm at ease with this statement - someone needs to crack on with this - including Dave Allen. I have to say there are usually SOME people interested. Not good enough. Come on guys, sort it.

Maybe they put 7 days for the club on eBay - you know how that works; always a late influx of bidders as the clock winds down

Probably true, but everything has a price. If anyone came forward and offered that price I'm sure he'd sell regardless of whatever his long term plan is. But is anyone out there, unlikely!

Going back to the OP, I've heard 3 names mentioned as possible 'investors' that had been contacted.

Now, that could mean its a simple case of:

"Hello Mr X, you're rich, would you be interesting in investing a few million quid in Chesterfield FC?....Hello?......Hello??........."

2 I would sat are well known (for one reason or another) and the other I still have no real idea who its is.

Do I think DA has any intentions of selling up?

In 3 or 4 days CT & AC haven't been able to secure someone who wants to spend circa £9 million to buy a club rooted to the bottom of Div 1 and making eye-watering losses. This isn't good enough? Maybe you could PM AC and offer your services if it is that simple?!? What do you realistically expect them to achieve in 3/4 days? I suspect they're trying to sort out the more imminent issue of finance over the next couple of months, seeking legal advice as to what they can and can't do, as well as the (alleged) attempted re-negotiation with DA. This has probably taken up the majority of the 3/4 days.

A few wrong facts doted in but on the whole a bit of a difficult watch being as it ventured on his illness and death rather than music, but the main actor was uncanny.

My point is - are they relying on people to come to them? How have they advertised the club? Where? Ebay?? or what The club had tried to find someone but failed according to Carson. I'm not knocking that - its going to take weeks. We are teetering on the verge of administration too. Or, is this just some rich person's parlour game?

Do you know that for sure - I mean hand on heart know your statement to be true? Or has the lack of success led you to believe this is the case? Like I stated I suspect AC has been pretty busy trying to sort out the here and now. The recent loss of board members would only serve to make him even busier and I can't help but think CT will have been little use.

I would prefer "we are actively seeking a solution with DA and also we are currently seeking new partnerships. This will take a while....we haven't found a preferred buyer just yet but will contuinue until we reach a conclusive deal..." etc..

However, I suspect anyone with the remotest intention of putting money in will be aware now, wouldn't they? What about foreign investment?
