Bournemouth are hardly a sleeping giant. They just got lucky.

Think we might be seeing the youth team come out for first team games soon. Go in to admin, end up on zero points and save money by not playing players who have high appearance bonus' to cut costs. We could see a mass exodus of first team players over January. Hopefully we have a few players that can afford to re negotiatiate contracts on reduced terms till the end of the season (a bit like Buffon, del Piero and canavaro did at juventus when they were demoted 10 years ago) and stop and help.

Hopefully first move is to get Ebanks-Blake off the wage bill. Id hazard a guess he's probably had the best part of over £150,000 worth of wages out of Town in his time here, thanks in no part to the people who have engineered this crisis. That in itself is a scary thought.

We are a much bigger club (fan base-wise) than Hereford or Darlington. Darlo only used to get 2500, similar to Hereford. We would be massive in the lower leagues - bigger than Wrexham, probably Stockport, Lincoln, Tranmere, York etc. etc.

Not sure how it would work re: administration, but presumably we would have a cleaner slate (?!? ... don't have knowledge in this area).

We would not have a ground, but then what do the current owners think they will do with the existing one? It certainly wouldn't pay back the overall value of the debt irrespective of what it was used for.

If the 'leak' is to be believed, £200k shortfall this month alone, any funds raising events by the fans, wouldn't come close to that figure over a year, never mind less than 2 weeks.

I think the donations would potentially be better towards a fans group etc. Like people have said, £25 won't touch the sides in the short-term, however a good sum raised would and could secure some sort of future for a club rather than it being wasted currently as lets be honest, the only option we currently have is someone buying us out and that isnt likely at this stage.

My guess at a timeline would be...

Next two weeks, directors looking for a buyer and putting some money in to cover day to day running until the end of the month.
Players wages not being paid in December and potential Admin
Ched and Boly sold in January on the cheap, covering running costs for two or three months and HMRC £50 paid back.
January other players may leave again on the cheap if and a big if any bids come in.
The club struggles until the end of season and relegation
Potentially wound up in the summer as costs cannot be covered, Dave takes the ground, no club.

Why not set up a website with a donation button. I'm sure someone would be able to sort it - legally etc... as we don't want any more hassle. This might even be marketed more nationwide to other fans.

There is no point pouring money into a bottomless pit that is CFC 2001 (as it stands). I agree that we should wait until the big boys have sorted out their squabble or we enter admin.

Whatever the outcome having a respectable fan based pressure group with funds could be useful and if the worst happens in setting up a new club.

I guess the problem would be convincing people to subscribe with no defined goals

Let it fold.As far as I am concerned this club is not Chesterfield FC it ceased to be that at the end of the 2015/15 season when it became screw what you can out of it FC,Start again with a proper club run by supporters with the clubs interests at heart.AFC Chesterfield would leave Mr Allen and co with precisely what they deserve an empty stadium no supporters and folks turning their backs on his corporate catering venue. Wouldn't that be great
