What was the prize for finishing at the summit of that league?? A 04 reg transit connect and a tank of cherry

A place back into the football league youth... plus a Ford Transit and a tank of cherry.

Evans only really succeeded with big backing for the level he's at and an endless stream of signings. Not sure he'all have the huge budget at Mansfield and certainly can't have loan signing after loan signing now. Not sure he's the sort of manager to work with what he has to get wins.

Run this joke by me again bro.

Is it the one where Mansfield sign a proven top manager by a chairman who loves the club- whilst your Sheffield Wednesday fan has resigned leaving you £14 million in debt- rooted to the foot of the league- and staring at both administration and relegation.

nah it cant be... already heard it.

£14m?

That's next year

Trust me when I say this but Evans will be well backed when he turns up at Mansfield.
Radford has got big plans for them it's a shame that they've lost the fan Base to appreciate what money he's about to throw at it.

And that kills me to say it by the way.

Running at a massive loss, no shiny new stadium to attract a few extra thousand new fans like your lot had, and a horrible fat mouthy two-hat alongside his cock of an assistant Raynor in the dugouts.

I'm dreading the catastrophe he leaves behind when he buggers off, which may be in a league or two above, who knows?

But I've said it stinks of short-term gain, long-term pain.

You're the shining example at the moment.

We lose £200k a month, we need no wage bill and 7000 average to break even

What are the massive overheads to justify that?
That seems more than ridiculous. A clubs wage bill should be it's largest overhead surely, and other overheads should pale in significance to that.

Who knows mate.

We need to average more than the ground holds to break even.

No-one (well one person) knows where the hell our money is going and that's the problem.

Why is this in any way worthy of celebration?

He'll probably do reasonably well there and get them up if not this year then next.

I think we need to sign up John Radford for a few lessons on how to turn around a club haemorrhaging money.

As mentioned Evans has been a success only where he's had budgets well over what others have had in the division and had a revolving door of signings which now isnt possible. Even if they back him is he capable of success where he cant chop and change with loan signings?

^^^ this

in my mind, Radford and Evans deserve each other, as both will drag the other one down.

Lets hope so, but it wouldn't be that much different to what happened with Allen and Cook.

Apart from Cook being able to jump ship when he saw it going t*ts up.

It would be slightly different. I do however share some concern, as Radford has steadied the ship here financially, and success doesn't come cheap. I do think Evans is decent appointment though. I just hope we do well without bankrolling it too much.

Well surely you can't bank roll it too much on 2 and half thousand gates? Look at us and we've been averaging about 6 and half thousand. 🙄 Unless Radford is willing to dip into his own pocket and not expect it back, if so then fair play.

Totally agree mate. Obviously like you good results usually mean better gates, but at what cost?
