You are doing now. Forget making up for lost time Mr M. Just one donation saves at least one life. What a wonderful thing to have on your life CV. I disagree with you on many things but you certainly don't have ice in your soul 😉

Not true all donations are included. However you can't see where they went in the old days. 1976 when I began all mine are included in my total. Well done to you for giving.
Edit have you changed your name? You being a lady

My real name's Stevie; always has been. I used to be carrie69 on here but I got a load of stick, even though 69 is the number of my house. So I changed it to something else that I can't remember and the patriarchy didn't like that either

The point I was making was did you for example get married? I say this because all donations however long ago still count. I was just wondering that if you changed your name did you notify the blood service. As for coming on here say what you think and don't bother about anyone else. Nobody else does.

Good look on that Mr M. I have been asking for years and other than health reasons, i have not heard a good reason. I wish they would be honest and admit they are selfish and as long as the blood is there should they ever need it they are not bothered.

I have a pathological fear of needles. Is that a good enough reason?

No. So you would refuse a blood transfusion should you ever need one? So you have never had an injection then?

TBH the “why don’t you?” question wasn’t really demanding answers, it was just that it really is only around a hour or so out of peoples day a couple or three times a year, or just once, and until I started donating under fishini guidance I honestly didn’t realise how desperate they are for blood. I’ve even had a phone call, as well as texts and e mails prior to an appointment checking I’m ok to still donate because of how short they are of it.
If people don’t wish to donate then I’m not going to judge them, I didn’t donate for years much to my regret, just if you don’t maybe have a think about it and give it a try.

Not without feeling physically sick before, during and after the effect, no, I forced myself to have the 2 Covid injections but I was in a constant cold sweat.....thankfully I've never put myself in harm's way to need a blood transfusion but if I did need one I'd probably be unconscious anyway so wouldn't know.
