Hold the event Ashley and please give Mr Mercury a bottle of red wine to pass on as I bet that you would eventually come on here and post again one day....

I was asked if I'd like to attend but can't as I am away on business but my question is simple.... Our total wage bill is £4.6 million and you said on here our playing budget was circa £1.7 million so what/who is the other £2.9 million being spent on?

For me, it's an officer of the club proving why he had his "bob's board privilege" taken away from him in the first place. If he holds a title of responsibility, he should act just as responsibly. It's sad to see his petulant response to Security66 reinforce this.

A simple word of advice Ashley, you need to be less easy to bait, thank goodness you don't feel compelled to read and comment on the Facebook posts.

Just this one post really undermines your prior message about wanting to offer enhanced transparency and building bridges with the fan base.

I look forward to next Wednesday, I have asked Chris Breeze, who oversees the Academy, John "Grow Some Balls" Croot, who I am hoping will stand up and be counted, Chris and I.

Thanks for that post Ashley I feel a bit more positive that the meeting isnt going to be orchestrated and that you and the Board will at last show that you arecwilling to listen to its loyal fans. I just want to be assured that DA and the Board arevstill fully committed to the future of the club.

Yeah I never get why Bobs Board takes all the flak. Bobs board members are at least partially informed the vast majority Of The time and debate is structured, the facebook warriors don't have a clue and just spout out lots of nonsense.

Step back from this for one minute and have you considered why people are suspicious?

1) The owner became the major shareholder in June 2009. At that point, he made no secret of his exit-strategy, to secure championship football and sell the club.

2) The owner has also been vocal about his objectives for the business, profitability and debt reduction.


We are an absolute million miles away from achieving either of those things. You've openly admitted to myself and others that you are running the club despite your employment at the Assay Office and obviously not overlooking the fact, that the club itself employs a full-time, salaried CEO who enjoys the support of not only yourself but the majority shareholder.

We sold £2M worth of players last season, only an idiot would have budgeted for this and despite that, we barely kept our head above water.

Surely it is not that difficult to understand why people are asking questions, is it?

Can you confirm that money is still owed to parents when Liam Sutcliffe advised everyone had been paid back and if so WHY is it still outstanding and WHY did LS say otherwise.
As these are the kind of things that we are and will be suspicious of.

Any stage managed Q and A ( coincidentally just ahead of the AGM ) should be avoided at all costs by the fan base .
Questions should be posed at the AGM.

Please don’t be offended if you haven’t been invited, many more on here meet the criteria. The last thing we need is for the meeting to cause divisions on here.

It follows of course that the answers to questions will be reported on here as soon as possible after the meeting.

Present from bobs board will be

Moondog, Freelander2, MDCCCLXVI, Dim View, 60’’s 70’s Spireite, Clarevoyant, Sammy Spireite, Mr Mercury, SpireiteNag & Zorro
