Why would honest timely feedback to Bob's Board members, whom we represented, damage good intentions?
There was no request made from the top table to delay feedback.
Having read the report, I'd suggest doing things in the order you suggest would have damaged any future relationship even further because attendees would have complained at it's inadequacy. The report is of little value. It should have been much closer to minutes, with listed actions that AC and CT have taken on, to be used as the basis for the next meeting.
If AC stops future meetings because we have broken some kind of unspoken protocol, then it's an excuse and it shows how committed he is to wiping the slate clean and repairing damage.
Dave, there was a request at the start of the meeting from Nick that a recording would be used for accuracy of the wordings within the questions & answers. At the end of the meeting it was agreed that Nick would supply the 3 parties with the statement for us all to read & check the content.
The report issued by Nick may not have been the full report and maybe a shortened version because of what had been reported on here. If the report (as it is) from Nick was the only release, then I would have gone ballistic myself.
Not one of us had any intention of not reporting back, but as I said, a few days would not have hurt.
If you read back the reports, some of them say it's from memory and maybe another person may correct me. We are not a newspaper, we should print only facts.
I am hoping that another meeting will take place and other fans can attend, I am will to drop out to let another go in my place, but I would like to see that Mike, Nigel & Mark are included in the 10 for continuity.
There were tasks assigned to the top table from questions asked, I believe that some of these have been done and are being answered.
I questioned CT on the wage bill and specifically the figures relating to football staff within the Y/E figures and got this emailed response yesterday; -
Youth coaches – 15 academy coaches who are part time.
Scholars – 16
Professionals – 28
Management – 6
Academy coaches full time – 6
Total – 73 this is the total now, in last year’s accounts there were obviously 4 more.
So I do think they listened, are listening and want to bridge gaps.
Regarding what has been relayed to this forum, my thoughts are that ALL the meetings content should have been posted in 1 post rather than others filling the gaps.
