It is my honest belief that the entire focus of this meeting is to head off any protests at next Sundays televised game.

I agree with you re. heading off any protests however, it is clear that this position has got them 'rattled'; maybe they are now realising that not every football supporter is a 'knuckle dragger' and quite a substantial amount work/run successful businesses and have a full understanding of finances to make such businesses successful.

We have a CEO who, by his own admission 'is not great with figures' in charge of running a multi million pound business.......why?

Who sets the budget/targets for the financial period and on what basis? If we are bugeting against £2M player sales each year then somebody needs a rocket....player sales should be an added bonus not a necessity.

Do they not understand that if the product is poor the customers won't buy it? Now I'm not saying we should be pushing for promotion, but we should be at least competitive.....shouldn't 'astute' businessmen be able to forecast this and take the necessary action?

If the debt is continually rising irrespective of circa £4M of player sales in the last couple of years, then what aspect of the business is hemorrhaging money and what steps are being taken to 'plug the hole/s?

If that is your true belief then you obviously realise you are being manipulated

Why would anyone believing this or even suspect this attend?

You definitely wouldn't be welcome at the interrogation meeting . It's a condition of attending that sarcasm and cynicism get let at the door and collected on the way out.

because those attempting to manipulate aren't smart enough to succeed.

Because it gives me and others the chance to ask some searching questions to a number of board members and hopefully get some honest answers.

I have no intention of being manipulated, also that can work both ways.

I believe the board have finally realised that certains things need to be clarified and they are dealing with a good, many competent and intellectual supporters.

If nobody goes it gives those in charge the opportunity to say 'we gave you a platform to voice your concerns and you didn't take it'.

I would have gone if invited but only to seek a sponsorship deal for my #PantsOnHeadProtest.

Dave could surely get me a good deal on 3000 pairs of crisp white Y-fronts.

You have stated that the intention of this meeting is an attempt to head off any potential protest in fromt of the TV cameras. How then can you claim you are not being manipulated having said that?

I actually don't subscribe to your interpetation of the purpose of the meeting, however from the description of the meeting I'd say it was flawed. At the end of the day the questions likely to be asked will have been asked on here on numerous occasions. Those monitoring the board will have had plenty of time to prepare stock answers to these questions. There seems no room in the format for being able to respond (cross examine) these answers. Imagine how useful that would be if Turner has said something. I realise those attending the meeting would have to be quick witted enough to do this effectively but I feel some on Moondogs' list are capable of that.

Hence my comment about being manipulated.

I certainly think someone who so suspicious of the motive should think twice

Submitting questions in advance tells you all you need to know.

All of the questions which have been submitted prior to the meeting require research based on historic data. It would be totally unrealistic to expect the most switched-on of individuals to be in a position to answer such questions on the night.

It is hoped that all questions which have been submitted prior to the meeting and those asked on the night will be published on here together with the club's answers.

If people running the club are in attendance, they should know everything that is happening at the club, both on a day to day basis and in the longer term. As such they shouldn't need questions in advance, in order to prepare answers, they should be able to answer on the spot.

As they have been submitted in advance, it will be a farce if they aren't answered and it will make matters worse

I think this is a great idea. I just pray that those who go are unrelenting in their questioning and actually get real answers to the questions, and if they don't, keep pressing till they do or make it known they aren't happy if they don't get them

Don't be getting fobbed off by non answers, spin generated answers, and calls for optimism because we beat a really weak league 2 side in the cup. That win sweeps none of our problems under the carpet.

What sort of question should require that from people who should know the business inside out?

I believe every 'Bob's Board' member attending goes in with their eyes fully open.

Of course it's an attempt to prevent protest; of course it's an attempt to pre-empt awkward questions at the AGM.

However it's just the right thing to do - especially as at least one person has sneeringly inferred cowardice on the part of those narrating various issues for not challenging Turner & Co face-to-face.

Questions will be asked, answers will be given - hopefully supported by excerpts from the official accounts, then it's up to the customers and sponsors of CFC to decide if they tally with reality.

Meanwhile if questions are ducked or inadequately answered that too will tell it's own story.

There will be no planned protests of consequence. Anything that happens will depend on what is happening on the pitch. There may be impromptu chants against the CFC board if things are going really badly and no meeting is going to stop that.

And if that second paragraph is aimed at me then you are plain wrong

Be Careful chaps. You have been called into the headmasters office but the problem is that the headmaster has left you talking to his deputies. Remember what happened to the Wednesdayites? Didn't they get banned at one point?
They're going to try and manipulate you and use you to stop any protest from happening, whilst I have absolute faith in you all that they're not going to be able to pull the wool over your eyes you will be in the firing line should you not get the answers that folk want to hear.
Why have you been selected? Do the club want to shut you up? I'd edge on the side of caution if I was you.
