I know that you'd love it if it was found that she made all this up. You're desperate for it, it's so clear from your posts you might as well be screaming it from the roof tops.

You're a really nasty piece of work, and ignorant as f**k too. It's always a terrible experience speaking to you on here. We should probably cease communication to be honest.

I'd like to see him found not guilty, because i think it was a miscarriage of justice. Simple as that. I've explained why on many an occasion.

And the only time i 'communicate' with you on here is to initially politely disagree with your tripe. What follows next is entirely predictable. I don't give a toss for your opinion, and as such don't feel the need to avoid you or your childish wailing. Who you choose to communicate with is entirely your business. I'm perfectly happy for you to cease doling out verbal instead of engaging with the argument, but don't stop on my account. I couldn't care less.

I always thought that if your conviction was quashed for a crime, it was meant to mean that you were not guilty?

Its hypothetically speaking but it has been said that she thought her drink may have been spiked
..seems strange that a pro footballer would try to pull a girl that was completely out of it,presumably if she had got drink spiked it was prior to meeting them , the drink spiking could have relevance

Why are you persuing this crap

She said she thought her drink might've been spiked, so what?

Tests found it wasn't, that has already been dismissed 4 years ago.

I'll humour you one last time.

B) She certainly has pursued a case of rape against herself though, otherwise they wouldn't be a case of rape to contest, as there would be no complainant and the case wouldn't have gone to court.

Not true. A 'complainant' is a legal term used for formality in court and can sometimes mean simply 'opponent'. The woman never complained that she had been raped.

Reading today's review, it looks as though police didn't take today's witness seriously back then. They only interviewed him by phone and then it's unclear whether the judge allowed the evidence anyway. At least it's proved he hasn't just come forward to claim the reward. He's been known to police for years.

The complainant is the one who makes a complaint; the alleged victim.

The other bloke involved WAS falsely accused of rape

Just wondered whether his evidence supported Evans (ie that she agreed he could join in) as I didn't see it mentioned in the news reports

Isn't "she" a witness for the prosecution rather than a complainant?

He stopped posting once we signed Evans IIRC. Think he's made like one or two posts since then. Big shame.

•Conviction rates for rape are far lower than other crimes, with only 5.7% of reported rape cases ending in a conviction for the perpetrator. (Kelly, Lovett and Regan, A gap or a chasm? Attrition in reported rape cases, 2005)

Frightening statistic and easy to see why the victims are sometimes reticent about coming forward. Perhaps they feel like they are on trial? Or perhaps they are all crying wolf.

Probably cos there's plenty of gimps out there like the ones in this thread looking for the first opportunity to victim blame.

'What was she wearing'
'Did she try and fight him off'
'She shouldn't have been so drunk, she should control herself'
'She often has one night stands'

I was like this before. My excuse was that I was 18/19. Some of the people chatting sh** in this thread are in their 30s and want a slap.

There isn't a victim. As it stands, there is no crime.

No one cares what she wore. No one suggested any woman should be forced to fight anyone off. In her own words she was 'tipsy, but not out of control', so she wasn't even particularly drunk, by her own admission.

The one-night stand element of the case is, that according to witnesses, the same 'bedroom talk' was used by the woman in concensual sexual encounters she didn't consider rape as was used in the 'encounter' with McDonald and Evans. You'd realise the obvious implications of this for defence counsel if you weren't such a gimp yourself.

You mean alledged victims? That is the problem.

No wonder women are reluctant to come forward especially in less straight forward cases.

Well Evans didn't

Problem is this case is messy, sordid, sleazy, confused and any judgement will be subjective.

I have made my mind up on Evans
