Some good eating around there, my favourite place is the cheapo pizza place called Icco. Dinner plate size thin crust pizzas for about a fiver. Perfect when out with the kids during the day.

Siam Corner was the Thai place I went to at Goodge Street.

We are out tonight actually, was going to go to Madison in St Pauls but they booked up so am on the hunt for something. Might try Le Pont de la tour at Tower Bridge.

Pont de la tour Rodney, Pont de la tour.

Yeh can see Charlton being a decent following, know a lot planning that already.

Was a cracking day out on the ale round London Bridge last time.

That's the appeal of them normally but I have my kids Friday night and it wouldn't be fair to get them up so early just so I can have a day out. I'll have a leisurely morning and play cricket instead.

Just wondering who is making the trip to Wimbledon at the weekend? Its one of my local games and I am planning on going - downside being I need to be in Chesterfield for a christening on Sunday by 10am so kind of ruins the "its close and i dont need to drive" happy exile feeling!

Many others down for game or even weekend?

Annoyed I cant go even though its local another commitment. Still I went there 3 years ago in our championship season. I missed out on Charlton 5 years ago and have never been to the valley. I will deffo go to that one.

I've been volunteered to "make one" on Saturday. Now the weather forecast has changed to Bunkum, bummer!!! So probably be sat about for a hour or so and find a none league game

They ring a bell, one of them just under the bridge on the left hand side?

Barrow Boy rings a bell as a lad I was with met an acquaintance in there after the game that he had met whilst she was stewarding at the game..the rest as they say is history.

The Valley is ace, if memory serves it was only a fiver to get in.

Not going, went in 2012 when we lost 1-0. Not a good view of the game at all, that day.

3-1 wasn't it ? Sheridan got sent to the stands when telling the linesman what he thought about him missing the most blatant handball in history lol, hit the guy on both hands! Always remember also Leon Clarke getting the ass on when Whitaker wouldn't let him take the penalty .

Hoare (400)

Sorry this is the Charlton away game I am talking about.

At AFC Wimbledon?

Thought we'd only played them twice? Lost 1-0 time I went I'm sure and wasn't a draw there 1-1 in 2014?

Just seen your last message. Yeah, it was Charlton, was there that day, a good day apart from the result. He scored the pen though if I recall.

well having had this one down as a banker to go I have now realised Wimbledon dont play at Wimbledon so I have a more convoluted journey than expected (southern exile here) - for the locals how long to get from Waterloo to the required station? Clock is tight for getting back and I refuse to go and leave mid way through second half....

Nearest station is Norbiton. Straight from Waterloo (or Clapham junction or Vauxhall).

There is a bus that goes from New Malden which is one station earlier and trains a bit more frequent (line splits after NM which is also only Zone 3).

Norbiton -> Waterloo is 25 minute journey. Trains every 10 minutes or so if memory serves.
