Just been down to the ground to prize my spire lotto win from 3 weeks ago off them, as I only realised I had won when I checked and they certainly don't notify you...

....and a very sweaty Martinez was heading back across the road from the gym.

He said his knee was progressing well, that he had just been for a run to build up strength and it felt fine. I asked him when he expected to be fit to return to first team action (expecting him to say well into the new year) but he reckoned before xmas.

Now I know a player will always be optimistic and it will be down to the physio and Danny to decide when he's ready but a fit Angel would make a big difference to our midfield so that's a tiny crumb of comfort I'm clinging to!

Very nice fella he is too...

so a whole before you expected??

 just kidding

As any follower of his on twitter will know, he seems to have really been putting the hard graft in recently and tweeted his delight at being able to join the lads on the training ground too and was looking forward to kicking a ball again.

I wouldn't recognise him if I run him over outside the ground whilst he was crossing the road in his training gear.....
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

Which, incidentally, is the next likely set-back in his recovery.
